Football is not strict science, you can't make a comparison like this...

It is not the strong one that wins, the one that wins is strong.

Since when do we care this much about the possession stats?

Not to totally sound the alarms but this looks just like 2017-2018 Ancelotti-football right now.

We don't necessarily, but this is an indication of how poorly we're playing. We always win possession against non-elite teams. The fact that we're not, at home against Ajax, is an indicator of how poorly we're playing.

No creativity, no urgency, sloppy passing, sloppy defending...

Yeah, pass to Ribery and hope for something. Or just pass amongst the defence and midfield. Slow, predictable and boring

Why wouldn't we be?
You have to consider the style of play. We are TRYING to play ball-dominant and maintain possession. And we can't. At home.

Now, if we were trying to sit back and hit them on the counter, of course it'd be expected that we're behind in possession. But that's not what we're trying to do. The style of play we're trying to play is possession-heavy and we're unable to execute that style properly. Pointing to the possession stats right now is just one of a few indicators of how we're struggling.

How about shots on target stats? Pretty sure Ajax have had more and better shots on target so far.

That would be a better indication.
We're being overrun in the midfield, Martinez qnd Thiago are playing too close together, looking confusing. We have had chances to counter, but the final pass is lacking, but pls be calm people.

We are being punished now for not replacing Robbery in the summer and not getting an experienced coach. I really dont see Kovac taking us anywhere...hope he proves me wrong.
Ribery is looking old... :roll:
We can´t close them down...they are easily playing aroung us...this is close to embarrassing...

You can close your eyes to the things you don't want to see, but you are going to lie to yourself if you think that is the Bayern that we know. And put aside the fact that we've been outplayed by Ajax in our home in the first 45. Like aterford said, this is feeling like Carlo's Bayern now. I should add that with Ancelotti we scored more goals in the first 6 games.

Now take all that and add:
- Pressure to play the old guys;
- No flexibility on and off the field;
- The disappointed youngsters;
- The bad medical team;
- The non existent scouts;
- We don't buy players on positions that we need them;
- We also don't create youth players for these places;

I mean, what the fuck are we doing RIGHT in the last years ?

- Crying about referees;
- Extending finished players;
- Winning the Bundesliga;

Great. I'm the happiest fan of Bayern. Yuhuu.
