Werner assisted by Havertz
Second goal assisted by Pulisic
First leg: Pulisic assisted by Rudiger
Coached by Tuchel

De Bruyne with a crucial first goal last week and being significantly involved in the crucial first goal yesterday.
Coached by Pep

Now watch the EPL fans tell us they’re the best in the world while all these people were bad players and farmers just a few years ago in the Bundesliga.

And there it is - Manchester City vs FC Chelsea.

Tuchel in the CL final for the 2nd season in row with 2 different clubs.

The crown of modern football business - 2 English clubs in hands of foreign billionaires playing against each other. Something what football fans in Europe hated 25-20 years ago on mentioning.

Different story, that‘s when we HAD a good coach...

We had a one-season legend as a coach who should be given credit only for that one season, after which he has proven at the very beginning of the season that he doesn’t deserve to be a long-term coach, with or without a shite sporting director.

A CL final between two absolute artists who have unconditionally been given the players they want so that they can do the best job they could possibly try to do. Can’t wait.

Chelsea gave us the strength to conquer the world the following year.

Tuchel lost it last year so he deserves it especially after the undiserved sack by those french/arab idiots...

Oh, was talking about the coach who you’ve pointed out to be lucky time and time again since last season’s final, only you were scared to point out by name and pretend it’s everyone else’s fault instead.

Not just trying to sh*t on Flick but it really is kind of impressive how much one's "resume" or whatnot impacts how we perceive/evaluate them.

Can you imagine if fans on this forum were tasked with evaluating Flick's performance strictly on this season alone, without giving any consideration to last season? Most of them would probably be calling for him to be sacked by Christmas.

Not sure how much that tells us or how much value there is in such an exercise, but it's interesting, at least. Like I said, not trying to dump on the guy, but I think it's not unreasonable to say that last season granted him more 'leeway' this season than would have otherwise been afforded.

Simple really. If someone's done good, point it out. If someone's done bad, point it out. Give credit based on merit. Unreasonable extreme love or hatred either direction is never good.

Agree. Maybe only because I don’t remember 1999.

That said, I know WAAAAY more Man United fans than Chelsea fans so maybe I’m only saying that because United aren’t real contenders right now.

Yeah same 1999 doesn’t even register with me as I don’t remember it, much as the United fan at work tries to goad me with it. I just say I’m too young to remember it and the only Bayern v United ties I remember are 2010 and 2014. So as far as I’m aware it didn’t happen :P
You lucky bastards
On my way to school every fucking human was talking about it...
And I remember the bullies harresing the man utd fans in my class...
& I sat there in a corner in silence...watching the world goes by...
And to add to my woes , on that day(the day after the ucl) my team lost the F.A Trophy final vs our bitter rivals...

Anyways, here's kind of a crazy stat...
Since taking over as manager of Chelsea (26 January 2021), Tuchel has wins vs...

Mourinho (1:0)
Simeone (1:0)
Klopp (1:0)
Ancelotti (2:0)
Simeone (2:0)
Guardiola (1:0)
Zidane (2:0)

Overall balance:
16 wins, 6 draws, 2 losses, 32 scored, 10 conceded

The crazy thing is he’s getting better and better. At Dortmund he was a wannabe philosopher, at PSG he developed some pragmatism, at Chelsea he simply dictates how matches go. Can you imagine how good he’ll be when he manages Bayern?
