"Yeah, well there`s another chance to prove that next year"

In my opinion you can be the best team without winning. That is part of playing a cup. Injuries at the wrong time, a questionable decision and so on and you are out.

Yeah by that measure I can claim that Wacker Burghausen are the best...

You’re the best if you prove it MOST of the time... Simple... There‘s no one team that‘s always lucky, not even Real Madrid

"Yeah by that measure I can claim that Wacker Burghausen are the best"

I guess you are trying to be funny.

"You are the best if you prove it most of the time"

I will try and explain my point. Let us say that Fiorentina finishes fifth in Serie A and win the CL after going through on away goals beating teams placing outside top three in their leagues. In the final they win against Bayern after penalties in a match they barely get out of their own half. The germans have swept through against City, Barca and Juve who all top their domestic competitions. In my opinion Bayern is the best team but just could not take the cup.

I will try and explain my point. Let us say that Fiorentina finishes fifth in Serie A and win the CL after going through on away goals beating teams placing pitside top three in their leagues. In the final they win against Bayern after penalties in a match they barely get out of their own half. The germans have swept through against City, Barca and Juve who all top their domestic competitions. In my opinion Bayern is the best team but just could not take the cup.
Hey that’s debatable!

But if you lose to fucking Kiel, Mainz and don’t even make the semis, you don‘t get to claim you‘re the best - at least for now...

Not even the best win every game, they also lose once in a while to smaller clubs, get over it man.

If you claim you‘re the best but lose to second tier teams despite being helped by the ref, you‘re not the best... Not like it was a game where we created anything besides these goals...

Why do I have to het over it when YOU claim we‘re the best? I claimed no such thing...

Who was the best team in Europe in 2001?

Clearly not Bayern because we lost to Magdeburg in Pokal :coffee:

In 2012/13 we also lost to Bate Borisov and Arsenal, so we were not it, either. ;)

I believe/think that no one will se Chelsea as the best team in Europe even if they win the CL. Or Tottenham if they had won two years ago.

Yeah, because 2013's Arsenal wasn’t better than Kiel... Thanks for the insight!

” They won`t”

Will you call them best in Europe if they win?

Probably not, but what‘s your point? Still didn’t lose to Kiel, did they?

”Probably not”

Ok.

”What is your point?”

I am curious about how you think about which team is the best in Europe.
