Couldn't Navas drop a couple of goals like that against us? So ducked off we went out to a team like PSG. We would slice this City up like butter.

I'm so happy that we never considered Pochetino.

I felt the exact same thing when I saw that. Its tragic that we could have been there if only...

We did NOT offer that much, actually we made a joke offer...

Oh, you're saying we should have offered more?

(All the reporting at the time was that we were willing to meet his 70m release clause, FWIW)
I think if you want a player with a RC, anything but the amount in it is a joke...

And I think he would suit us well, what makes you think he‘s playing badly (which I assume was the reason for your post)...

But we were wrong to pay Hernandez's release clause...?

See edit, but every indication was that we *were* willing to meet his clause.

He was entirely overran for the first 60 minutes of the game and has never once lived up to his price tag. I guarantee you without even the tiniest sliver of doubt that if we had paid that price for him it'd be like the Lucas criticisms and then some. At least with Lucas we have the excuse that the coach doesn't play him.
