Reus scored in a CL final against us so I don't really get those comments

Also Ter Stegen was lucky that the penalty wasn't retaken. None of his feet were on the line

1. Brandt played an awful game against Leverkusen, misplaced many simple passes. Long-term he should be the starter but it's not that clear now. Also he would look better in central midfield position so he will surely get minutes as a "10" when Reus is injured (please no) or resting.

2. Burki is fine, I don't know why people are so mean to him. It's not like he's top10 in the world but he's really solid.

Was it not a penalty from Gündoğan?

From what I saw (a few minutes here and there) Hummels had a great match (still angry he left instead of Boateng)?

Good correction

Reus was fouled and Gündogan scored.

Not to mention the entire Barcelona squad has encroached the penalty area.

Which IMHO is not that relevant (but in the new rules?) - thing is: is this among the situations being challenged by VAR?

What new rules? It's been like that for ages. The referee should have ordered a retake.

As for whether or not it should be signalled by VAR, as far as I know, no.

Agreed.

However, he is definitely a loyal player for a modern footballer. He could have moved to Barcelona in the last 4 years and yet he decided to stay at BVB to win trophies. He was unlucky not to win the Bundesliga last season, but apparently Reus doesn't give up of the idea of winning the German championship with his hometown.

p.s. About the Reus' penalty and the picture from above... Just look at the Barcelona players how they entered the box before Reus hit the ball. If we are talking about referee mistakes and penalty rules, yes... The penalty should have been retaken, but if nothing else then because Barcelona players got a bit early in the penalty box.

Yes, he got fouled in the box. It was a penalty. Don't know what's funny about that.

Considering that he's missed plenty of big tournaments due to lengthy injuries and that he plays for Dortmund I wouldn't expect him to be Dani Alves in terms of winning trophies.

Reus in good form is a world class player

Reus together with Kroos are the two German players I detest
