Meanwhile, we thought he was too young to effectively manage us and that Kovac would be a better option... #-o #-o #-o

Jose Mourinho Unleashes Extraordinary Rant Following RB Leipzig Defeat [source]

Come on, what do you mean by the real Spurs? Come on Come on," the 57-year-old begun with.

"Let's be loyal to the boys and tell that they did everything they could do," before then listing the issues hindering his side.

"[Erik] Lamela, you know how many training sessions he made with the team?

"Zero. Direct from injury to recovering on the pitch with the physios, direct to 20 minutes of a game of the Champions League. That is our team. You can look at it and you see the two perspectives.

"One perspective is an amazing group with amazing guys that try everything. By another side you see how we are in this moment.

Leipzig fans protest in London about ticket prices - the irony - their club is going around the 50+1 rule which among other things safeguards affordable ticket prices in Germany.

PSG looked like a team that didn't really care to win. They just passed the ball around without much energy and spark. Dortmund on the other hand looked focused, motivated and hungry. It was enough to win 2-1 but I think we could have squeezed a bit more from this game, 1-0, 2-0 or 3-1. But it is what it is, I won't complain after so many dissapointing results. Tie is very open, PSG might still be favourites to go through. But I will be very surprised if they reach the semis or the final playing this way. They looked completely uninspiried.
Hopefully Dortmund can pull it off and do well in the Champions League this season. Champions League football suits our style of play, we can play a bit more defensively and look for quick counters. BVB is such an unpredictable team under Favre that I won't be shocked if we get our asses kicked in the second leg or if we reach a semifinal or even a final. We shall see.

As for this year's tournament in general I think that there is no team that stands out which makes it very interesting. I think Barcelona, Bayern, Liverpool, Juventus etc all have a quite similar chance of winning Champions League this season.

Fortunately for BvB, Verratti will miss the second leg through suspension and hopefully Brandt AND Reus will be fully fit for what will be a tricky away fixture.

Yes, Verratti missing the game might be crucial, he was playing a great game in Dortmund and is definitely a key player for them.
