He basically criticized the game plan saying it didn’t work and robbed them of their strength...

Then he was asked whether Guardiola failed... And his answer was that a titleless season is not enough at Shitty...
Pep definitely failed in several ways tonight but no way he gets the main blame on the same night Raheem Sterling happened.

every year he keeps failing at the same stages in CL, in the same ways. i wonder at what point his status as #1 trainer in the world becomes questioned? has Klopp already taken the mantle?

Klopp just needs to win new PL titles with Liverpool and maybe one more CL and that's it.

Nevertheless, today's Mainz and BVB are his legacy and success, he put them where they are.

We wasted three long years with Josep Guardiola.

We could have gotten Klopp but whatever; we cannot change anything

Still funny how a Kovac fanboy talks about wasting time with clearly superior coaches...

The rest is true, but you do not know if Klopp would've worked here...

he had Bayern playing some amazing football, but unfortunately over time his weaknesses in the CL become more and more clear. for me his time at Bayern will always be "what could have been"... it's just too bad that Heynckes couldn't have been trainer for a few more years there

Are you bantering or serious?

I'm serious. Why would be bantering? Just saying what I saw on Lyon's second goal.

Uli's bad judgment of his friend Jupp and he did it to him - twice :) He negotiated behind Heynckes' back and the rest is history.
Guardiola would be coaching us right now or in the last 4 years after Heynckes' 4-5 years long era 2011-2016 and the German wouldn't have returned to Bayern in 2017.

It happened what happened, we won what we won, lost what we lost, missed what we missed.
That's life and it's pointless to cry or get angry or frustrated when it's all over long time ago.

Heynckes and Flick showed us all what FC Bayern need on the bench.
