If Bayern or Barcelona win, you can't really conceive these type of teams to need to rely on "drama".

Bayern won the 2013 CL final on drama with a 90 minute goal. They also got lucky that Dante wasn't given a second yellow card for his foul on Reus. Bayern had some drama against Arsenal as well that season. Does all of that mean they were undeserving winners or that their win was bullshit? No. That's just football.

There's luck, which is undeniable.

Then there's conceding 3 goals in the first place and having to stage a "dramatic comeback". The real champions would never, get reduced to that.

Both Bayern and Dortmund, despite the Malaga game, relatively steamrolled teams en route to the final. Now a final is one game so whatever happens, happens. I'd never complain about anything that happens in a final. But both finalists have set themselves up to be the deserving finalists on their way there.

It was a decent performance at Camp Nou though, they didn't deserve that result at all. Sometimes it just doesn't go your way and you don't score goals. But they had another 90 minutes to improve and they did. I don't see why you would make such a big deal out of it.

Would you feel different if they drew 1-1 at Camp Nou and then drew 0-0 at home and go through? Would you praise them for great defending and maturity and skill and tactics?

Uh what?

City is making deeper runs when they couldn’t get out of the group stage before.

Juv is constantly right there

Liverpool spent a crap ton on players.

Utd is just a mess but they’ll recover and pass us.

Chelsea isn’t that far off honestly.

England teams use to barely get out of the groups before the money.

Right, Liverpool got their players on breadcrumbs...

On top of that, just because a team don't spend hundreds of millions doesn't mean they don't have 70-100m players. Ajax have two, Spurs more. We don't, so the only way to get 70-100m players is by spending 70-100m. Crazy how difficult this is to understand for some.

Watching Barca - I think it is time to move from Boateng, Neuer and even Mueller. They've won it all. Literally everything possible wearing a German (club and NT) kit. The same applied to Ribery and Robben (although he lost the WC Final).

Do I think Neuer wants to win another UCL title? Yes. Is he waking up every morning wondering if his legacy will be complete without one? No. I think guys like Lewandowski and Thiago still possess that.

Well a “real” champion is about to be a team who did exactly that, because the other “real” champions choked somewhere along the way. That’s football. Barcelona was on track to be a “real” champion and conceded 4 goals at Anfield lol

I don’t totally agree with you but I see your point and partly sympathise. I just wouldn’t reduce it to one game. Say you have a great season, one terrible game where you lose by 3, then stage a comeback. That’s a sign of champions.

Spurs haven’t done that.
