For me it's clear that Ajax were struggling mentally in this tie, after scoring the goals they started to feel that they have to advance. The role of the favourites crippled them a bit. If they would just keep it 2-2 and go through to the final I think we would once again see this great Ajax from a month ago or so.

Really, really hope Tottenham has had enough, if they win it would just feel so unfair towards teams like Liverpool or Ajax who created beautiful spectacles and made watching football so enjoyable this season. I haven't felt that once watching Tottenham, even against City they just scored the goals but they weren't spectacular at all. They just had some good moments but everything felt like it was more a coincidence than some good thought out strategy.

I really hope Liverpool don't bottle it again.

Probably it is more down to getting a second goal right after the first than anything he said, just like yesterday.

What the **** is that? How could a coach who's supposed to have all the ideas say they can't explain things? Pedestrian bullshit.

Not sure what that's supposed to explain, but you should remind yourself that whenever you're coming up with unrealistic transfer ideas.

Might as well accept this is the beginning of the end for other countries in Europe. The money and exposure England will get means they’ll just spend outrageous amounts that no one can compete with. Soon enough it will be all Premier league dominating it all.

Well, you don’t seriously think it’s ALL about tactics?

In an ideal world it is.

So in your utopia, the best coach wins, and he can just play 11 kids he found on the street?

Don't act like it's the norm, it's a one-off and most CL's are won by a team that thoroughly deserve it. You'd never see Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Milan, ever be reduced to some euphoric schoolboy smiles. If these teams win, they stand up like they deserve it and everyone else is shit. That's how it should be.

Players are part of tactics, so no.

Would you have been mad if we had won this season? Because with the way we’ve played, we sure as hell didn’t deserve it.

What, so if we are just as shit but happen to win it for no reason? I can't really conceive the idea, so I can't even hypothetically answer the question.

If Bayern or Barcelona win, you can't really conceive these type of teams to need to rely on "drama".

I dissagree completely. Most CLs are won by teams that at some time got lucky somewhere along the way. There' s a lot of luck involved in football and that's what makes it such a special sport.

2018 Real almost got knocked out against Bayern and Juventus, they were fortunate to sneak through to the final because they got lucky in key moments of both ties. But were they undeserving winners? No, I think they deserved it.

I could find examples for almost every CL winner.

Just because a team made a great comeback and it wasn't about tactics but about heart, determination and fighting mentality doesn't mean it's bullshit. It's a huge part of competing at the highest level as well.

If it results in these epic collapses/comebacks then the general fan will accept it.

And I think bigger clubs = more money = stronger benches does hypothetically result in a better viewing product. How many clubs on this Planet scare score 4 times with 2/3 of their top attackers out? Tottenham has made a run to the Final without their Striker.

In a sport so low on scoring, attacking talent (on the bench) is such a premium.
