Jorge wrote:Why Bayern can't do the same?

We can't do that because we are an elite club and that's what we have always been, especially in the last 9 years when we kept Ribery, Lahm and Schweinsteiger and with that stepped up big time and move into the European top 3 teams for 5-6 years. We can't send a wrong message to foreign players, even to German ones who still haven't played for Bayern. We don't want to become a temporarily station once again as we used to be in 2000's to some players yet we can't only spend and not promote and form a single player from our categories in a period of 10 years, either.

Jorge wrote:Why we can't have the same scouting deployment and efficient academy? We had them both at times in the past and built teams similar to today's Ajax;

This is the question I've been asking myself for almost the whole decade and what went wrong after 2010/2011 season with our academy.
Scouting team... We have never had a great scouting team, even Loserkusen has had better scouting that us for the last 25 years, especially in South America where in the end some of their players in the first part of the last decade joined our club(Robert Kovač, Zé Roberto, Lucio...).

Perhaps we should say that our academy wasn't as glorious and productive as it is from Ajax, but we can say that the greatest Germans who played for both Bayern and Germany come from Bayern's youth academy from the 60's of the 20th century to mid-2000's.
All after that isn't almost worth of mentioning except Müller, Alaba, Badstuber and Can. Hummels had to part his ways to become a professional and some 8 years later return to Bayern.

Without a complete overhaul in all youth selections we can't expect to see any optimistic news any time soon. When our football academy discovers and develops our next no. 1 after Sepp Maier, our no. 9 after Gerd Müller and for the first time a modern winger/side midfielder, then we will be able to applaud and say this is it. In addition to that, have at least 5 great homegrown players among 20 players in the first team season squad and at least 3 of them in the starting 11 and club stars and symbols.

At the moment and with this trend, impossible. Scouting network inside and outside of Germany I don't even want to mention. :-#

And that golden generation happens once every 25 years.

How many times have Ajax failed lately? Is that what we want for Bayern?

I hope for a beautiful game today, Juventus - Ajax that is. Ajax is playing the best football in Europe in my opinion, maybe not the most effective one but they are a joy to watch for sure. Would be awesome if they went through tonight. But I guess Juventus won't let it slip. I predict a 2-1 or a 3-1 win to the home side.
