Yes - and the getting exposed...

You really are a pessimist, aren’t you?

I think if Bayern can somehow have all our key players fit by the semifinals (yes including Coman) and get a kind draw in the next round , we could make some noise.

And what solution do you offer to those problems? (Being a big fish in Germany and getting exposed by Real Madrid in the CL)

Decent squad management? Maybe as crazy as to actually have someone entrusted with a specific job?
Good transfers instead of wasting money - and squad spots - on the Gnabrys and Costas of this world... Getting the actually GOOD German players... Exchanging players that only run on 60% of what they used to...
Something in that area...

Total spineless game by PSG. No drive, no tactics, no cohesion, no salary; sorry, drive.

Madrid looked like walking around on a stroll. Quite frankly I expected more. P$G isn't up to par.

P.S. I still wouldn’t count Juventus out.

The only reason why I would want Shakhtar is because that could be one hell of a scouting trip. About Juventus, after last night, I'm not expecting any surprises these two weeks.

They made a mistake entrusting Unai Emery with this squad.

On the contrary, PSG did every possible thing wrong in squad building and what happened was entirely predictable. Rather than going after low hanging fruit like better centerbacks, a better goalkeeper, better centermids, or establishing some depth, they blew 400+ million on two prestige transfers only to have one of them--predictably, because spending massive amounts of money on one player means always accepting that there is a chance that he might be unable to play when you are counting on him--get injured right before "the big game."

Emery didn't help, but any coach would find it very difficult to win the Champions League with that squad.

Odds are stacked in favour of Tottenham, I am thinking about placing a bet on Juventus though. I might lose the money if the expected happens but the payoff if Juve win looks worth it.

IMO Juventus are still the favourites to go through.

I remember when we drew 2-2 with AC Milan in Italy, thanks to two goals by Van Buyten.
Then in the return leg in Munich, Seedorf scored a great goal, followed by a (clearly-offside) goal by Inzaghi.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a referee decision favouring Juventus. Scratch that, I *EXPECT* it, just as it happened in the 1st leg (Higuain 1st goal was offside, 2nd goal should have had the penalty retaken for Bernardeschi entering the penalty area two whole seconds before the spot-kick).

Juve’s Lineup

Allegri dun goofed #-o

Szczesny, Rugani and Marchisio should’ve started instead of Buffon, Barzagli and Khedira. Tottenham with a very strong lineup, except them to go through to the QF.

I think it's a 4-3-3 with Barzagli RB and Costa LW. I wish both teams could get eliminated :P. As few PL teams as possible progressing and I don't like playing against Juve.

Has Allegri lost his mind? A 36 year old CB playing RB against a Young and inform formidable opponent like Spurs? I think we will see a 352 because even Allegri should be smart enough to know that Barzagli at RB has disaster written all over it, like Real were always threatening PSG from Alves’ side I expect Spurs to do the same. If Juventus had to play a back four then why not pick a specialist like Lichtsteiner at RB?

As for the two teams, I don’t like Juventus but at least I respect them but being an Arsenal supporter in the PL, you can understand my feelings for Tottenham

Really want Juventus to shut up that small club tonight!

That didn't take long. One minute played, handsball in the box by Benatia. No punishment.

Come on, It would’ve been a very harsh penalty!

@shpati - You’re right its a 433 with Barzagli at RB. Hope this doesn’t get ugly for Juve on the Right side. Son is already looking threatening.

It was a textbook penalty. Ball clearly hits arm that is not in a natural position. Harsh, yes, but that's what the rules say.
