Idk why but I feel really confident about this season, too many injuries and bad luck killed the mojo last time but this season Bayern will win it all!

Barcelona is bound to have a poor season coming up now (they tend to bounce from world-beaters to merely great these days). I don't have huge faith in Benitez either, so we're definitely in with a good shout. Keeping in mind Pep needs to prove himself more and more each season.
The ideal team

This is his last chance in case he doesn't extend his contract, right?

I think we can expect some crazy things from him.

Transfers will be decisive. Get a couple of world class players, be more lucky with injuries and I think we have a very, very good chance of winning it. As quaazi said, I don't believe Benitez will do much (not to mention I think we'd have beaten them this season) and Barca will have to cope with the winners' curse.

Get the LW we need, push back Lahm back to RB, play like the 45 against Porto (or other games we've played very well, I'm saying Porto because I think all of you have watched it), don't ask Rafinha to man-mark Messi and we're good to go.

Man City, CSKA and a Portugese team, because why not. Then Arsenal in knock-out stage

As long as the team isn't missing anyone important and Pep is sensible in his tactics (i.e. opposite of the first 15 minutes of the Barcelona game away game) then Bayern have a great chance of getting to the final this season.
