We don’t lose steam up front after the sub, he manages to be involved and continue the goal threat after Lewy leaves the pitch.
With 15 big chances (and a couple more wasted in buildup) you‘d expect him to score more than twice…

I know you think our bench is bad. Is there anybody you think of that is willing to be a substitute for Lewandowski and also a lot better than EMCM?

Boateng has been reliable for seasons now, he had to go. Almost all for what he was praised on this forum recently was that - long balls. Thus my post.

Stop sleeping on old trophies. He BARELY found a new club, so dont tell me how old trophies can merit anything in 2021. Clubs are not stupid. They want players that can actually better the squad, not looking what they have won.

Sorry but what is your point?

I've clearly said multiple times that Boateng was FAR from his prime and had to go and that Upamecano was the perfect replacement

It’s our job to convince someone! We‘re not here to encourage divas…
We just got Sabitzer to be a sub…

I dont have a point.

You mentioned his trophies as a counter-fact for my trolling of his ONLY meanibgful contribution by doing long balls. What's his trophies gotta do with anything?

Or to win World Cups, Quintuples and Sextuples :D

But I guess he sucks and has just been in the right place at the right time. Lucky guy he is !!!
There was a time when Boateng was very close to the best in the world, but that time is past. Mind you I think he’s still good enough for us on the bench, it’s Alaba who was the problem IMO, but the board chose not to extend him and I don’t think that’s a bad decision either, whether it was for sporting or other reasons.

My late thoughts on the game:

What I liked:

- Pretty much, most of the things - our defense was almost 10 out of 10, nothing much to do against a shot like the one from Laimer, it was a great one. It would not be bad to score another goal, but there is no team in the world that can score more than 4 or 5 goals per game with high efficiency.
- I liked the fact that Julian is flexible enough to realize what's happening on the pitch. After their goal, we started losing the midfield, and he immediately changed to 3-5-2, which more or less stopped their momentum - we even managed to score one more.
- Somehow, I've got the feeling that our attack is working better, but maybe that's from the fact that Sane and Musiala are doing a great job so far in the season. I can't express my feelings about Lewandowski, because when I think that he's going to start declining - the opposite happens.

I didn't like the injuries and I hope everyone is going to be up and back again soon. As long as most of the guys are healthy, the Bundesliga is out of reach for every other club.
Salihamidžić: “Correct. Dayot Upamecano will play for FC Bayern for the next five years."
