How did they come to exactly 999? How come not 1001? Or 1037?

I love this match, it wasn't easy for us against them last 4-5 years, though. They only won once and that was against Heynckes' Bayern.

Hérnandez is going to play as LB and it's great that Timo Werner is no longer here. :)

Probably (and this is just my assumption) because there are instructions that the number needs to be less than 1000, so they chose the largest integer that's smaller than 1000.

Authorities: "Nein Nein Nein!"

Hahaha, spot on. That "ja" at the end kills me every time whether they speak to you in German or English.
You forgot that after that triple "nein" comes a long and exhausting sausage of elaborations and explanations on both horizontal and vertical axis. Amazing, but that's what makes them Germans, at least in my eyes and ears. :)

Dude, I maybe used a „ja“ at the end of a sentence twice in my life

No one talks like that...

I wasn't saying for you here, but generally for Germans. Using "ja" or analyzing the whole thing? :D

For "ja" I can agree, but the second thing...
Spoiler: show
I remember how Germans on FCB Facebook page 'killed' me for 2 sentences and my usual Croatian rhetoric as a fan in German language.    It sounded sooooo arrogant, I mean... it's my right to see "Ich will heute gegen diese Mannschaft dieser und dieser Spieler aufm Feld sehen. Hoffentlich Flick gibt eine Chance bla bla bla, weil ich sicher bin, dass er gerade besser als seinen Mitspieler und deswegen verdient er mehr als xyz".

The only thing I saw was who cares what you "want/will" like I demanded. Well, it's crystal clear that I care, want and demand so why dafaq act and elaborate why not with emojis.

Freedom of speech my nailes on toes.   I should have included Kaiser Wilhlem II, Kanzler von Bismarck, Führer A. Hitler, Willy Brand or Helmud Kohl in the story, imagine then reactions.

Isolated case...

Seriously, ask one of the other Germans here - or all of them - I think they‘ll tell you the same...

Nonetheless I DO think it‘s - KINDA(!) - funny and yes, one immediately knows you‘re poking fun at German(s) (language) - but it almost never occurs in everyday life...
