As for us, Hans-Dieter Flick shall count next 7 days and look at the watch to see what he can get of new players which he has demanded.
We lost the best midfielder in the world in Thiago, a superb 3rd winger in Perisic AND a decent RB in Kimmich. Coutinho was 100% meaningless. He was actually a net negative whenever he was on the pitch.Mavs wrote:We lost major contributors in Perisic, Coutinho, and Thiago.
So far, we've only added Sane to compensate.
We need another player or two. We lack depth. It showed today. We can't expect to win many titles when giving Zirkzee and Musiala big minutes. :/

This result is a mixture of extremely tired players, no real subs or bench to speak of, and Hoeness knowing and exploiting Bayern's system. What was notable to me was that a ton of attacks targeted Davies' and Alaba's side, and were in many cases successful. Both had poor games and Hoffenheim exploited that. Our attackers were also gassed, and having to exert so much effort with ANOTHER game in just 3 days... not good.

Yes, exactly, but this shouldn't be seen as an excuse but as a warning.
Then I don't see the point of your first post. We're all aware that there was a match against Sevilla in mid week and players are tired. That shouldn't be an excuse, though. We have subpart CBs and letting Thiago go was a disgrace (we should have kept him and lose him on a free if needed). Kimmich is nowhere near Thiago.nm462272 wrote:FCBayernMunchen wrote:nm462272 wrote:some real hot takes, completing forgetting context. 100%. this game, in the big scheme of things, is fairly meaningless, but this is a sign of what's to come as the season progresses...

Could easily have been much worse without Neuer.
