What's with all these replays and analysis about Bernat's challenge on Osaka in the box? Why they don't replay that pulling and felling Lewandowski in their box ?

Great, a convincing away win... Koln's first loss at home... it was a good day. I'm optimistic for the CL...

Interesting. I thought Thiago had a routine (for him) great match, but not an extraordinary one. Javi MoTM for me. Absolute beast in defense and scored a goal to put the cherry on top of the pie (although I wasn't too happy with him spending so much time in Köln's box).

Neuer can't be MoTM in a game in which he basically had a single intervention, as great as it might have been. It's tough for big team keepers in that regard, but IMO doesn't make sense to give the MoTM to a player he was barely involved.

Stats because their rate is about stats and stats doesn't mean everything 8)

Thiago rate is normal.
Martinez underrated. Same for Alaba
Bernat a lot overratted despite his goal and assist .. lot of problem in defense and many waste in his game today.
Neuer (Ulreich)
Kimmich (Rafinha) - Süle(Martinez) - Hummels (Boateng) - Alaba (Rafinha)
Goretzka(Tolisso) - Thiago (Sanches)
Robben (Gnabry) - James (Müller) - Coman (Ribéry)
Lewandowski (Wagner)

Yeah, I know. I was just musing. Wonder why Thiago got a 9.5 though, did he had such a great game stat-wise?

I thought he had an excellent game. He bossed the midfield. If you look at the three goals, he switched plays from midfield to attack so fast they were caught with the ball behind their backs. All three goals were started from key-passes from him. Very good game all around. Vidal's stat is pretty fair as well. Very nice crosses from him today as well.

Yeah. As I've said previously, I'm a huge Thiago-as-regista advocate hahaha. But, within the range of Thiago performances, I thought that was an average Thiago performance.
