Totally dominate.

Score 1-2 goals.

Concede on stupid defensive mistakes.

Lose points.

This is the only sensible assessment of the game in here.

It's true we dominated, but we could also have lost. The biggest miss of the match was neither Coutinho's nor Mueller's; it was Finnbogason's 88' sitter.

Oh yes. Just 1min earlier Muller missed what a 12yo would have scored.

Maybe they should have left it for Coutinho to pass it to their keeper. At least Thomas tried, and sent the keeper the wrong way. But yeah, he's playing without confidence and without match practice thanks to the tactical nerd.

not only did Muller try to kill the fan in the front row he **** up a 3 on 2 just before Augsburg scored

They can't add 2+2 at the moment, some had to travel long distances but were fielded over some that remained in Munich but at the same time they were fresh.............?

i only watched the highlight and there're things I see:

- Coutinho is worse than James in number 10 role and we might have to try another solution next season.
- We still need Sane to fill in LW and put Gnabry in Coutinho position as AMC and LW are his best positions. Gnabry will be more unpredictable when he has more freedom to play anywhere he likes.

- Hernandez might be a flop for the price we have spent on him and Kovac was stupid enough to sell Hummels.

You are bringing a good point here. I raised this concern early on when the loan rumors started: we had one of the best No.10's in the world for 2 seasons and we did not know what to do with him, so what was the reason on buying a similar player if there was not a tactical plan that would required so?
Not many teams play with No.10's anymore, there isn't actually too many pure 10's in football anymore. Tactical systems evolved in a different direction. The ideal system for a 10 to operate as a 10 is a 4-4-2 with a diamond formation in midfield, but for that you need a true destroyer (which we do not have) and two workhorse half mids on the sides (we certainly have players that can fill this role: Thiago, Tolisso, Goretzka.... I doubt that Kovac has a clue about any of this, nor many will accept playing without wingers.
bmguy wrote: We still need Sane to fill in LW and put Gnabry in Coutinho position as AMC and LW are his best positions. Gnabry will be more unpredictable when he has more freedom to play anywhere he likes.

We certainly do if we are going to play with wingers, Coman has speed and amazing dribbling but he seems to be the player that walks around with a glass ceiling over his head and it is hard to picture him growing more. His decision making has been the same since he was 5 years old. But this brings the No.10 position back into the equation, if we play with wingers having a 10 is a waste, in that system we need, an 8 with a double 6, or a 6 with two 8's.

We have to wait and see, so far he is a downgrade compared to Hummels, even the not-at-his-prime Hummels of the last two seasons.

One day you'll understand all our problem is mostly because of one poor guy : Kovac

You can add Sané, Havertz and Roca tomorrow, it won't change much....

It feels like I have seen this 200 times. Giving away goals, missing chances,Coman making the wrong decision over and over etc etc. Coincidence? Bad luck? Perhaps a little bit, but I begin to feel that it will not get better as long as Kovac runs this team. I don`t see any improvement in the critical areas and when Lewandowski drops his form we are in real trouble. My part of the solution is to replace Kovac!

Na endlich mal wieder Uli mit dem berühmten Gesicht zu sehen!!!

In the past 3 decades this face was always productive and also very bad for coaches and players. However, it looks like a light version compared to those 10-15-25 years ago, haha.
