I'll happily take a routine 2-0 win rather than another messy high scoring but defensively poor game. Hopefully Bayern are winning by the 70th minute so Nagelsmann could give guys like Kimmich and Lewandowski a needed rest!

My hopeful subs would be Coman for Sané, Gnabry for Thomas, Goretzka for Kimmich, Nianzou for Lewandowski and Davies for Lucas.

Bayern winning this game is vital for two big reasons:
1. Talk of this so called Freiburg "unbeaten run" can finally come to its deserved end.
2. To Prevent Bayernforum.com from being drowned by miserable posts from a certain "realistic" user for two weeks straight!

"deserved end" excuse me but what entitles you (us) to say that?
We should work hard and cut the silly mistakes at the back and we will win ..
They are playing good football and afaik all their earned points were all deserved.
I really hate it when football fans hate on small teams doing well...

We're playing the 3rd placed, only unbeaten team in the league. Of course we will field our best XI. Sabitzer should be nowhere near the team. Especially considering there will be an international break afterwards and Hansi is likely to rest a few players and give youngsters a chance, since we are already qualified.

The only question mark imo is Pavard/Süle or Gnabry/Coman.
---------------Lewandowski
------------Sané - Müller - Gnabry
------------Goretzka - Kimmich
Davies - Hernández - Upamecano - Süle

Nianzou for Lewa? Wtf?

Anyway its the last game before another BORING NT break is coming in. Its the 1st vs 3rd in the league. So you field your best team. For this i would start Sane and Coman, since they are better in form as Gnabry in the last couple of games, atleast Coman has the more decisive actions up front, but Gnabry scores the goals.

For this i would put Tolisso next to Kimmich, because Gore is on the field, but somehow mentally not available.

For Lewa there is no chance for rest, since Choupo is injured.

For this one i want Sule vs Gunter, not Pavard, he gets overrun all the time, i am sure of that.

Thanks again for the rent free accommodation!

And yes, not winning another game right now is off limits…

What's so surprising about a defensive substitution if Bayern are winning? Lewandowski gets a rest and we get to see if Nianzou is good enough to help us see out a win.

Because we dont have Choupo to fill in and we have an NT break right after. I think we will play our strongest line up till atleast the 70 or 75th minute. If its not clearly decided by then.

Exactly my point in the original post.if we're up by two goals in the 70th minute then sub out Lewandowski and Kimmich. We have to be able to trust our bench players to not screw up a win in 20 minutes against a team like Freiburg. If it was Real Madrid or Liverpool then yes I would not trust Nianzou and the bench players that much but against a BL team like Freiburg we should be able to call on the squad guys to see out a result.

Not to jinx it but, here's the FiveThirtyEight match prediction:

Bayern win: 80%
Draw: 13%
Freiburg win: 7%
God Bless Thomas Müller

From 21 home games Bayern never lost against Freiburg, 18 wins and 3 draws.. But so was the BMG game where we never lost in the Pokal vs them.. Stats dont matter shit, if they underestimate Freiburg, say goodbye to 3 points.

Only one missing tomorrow is Sabitzer. Choupo even took part in some team training exercises, but dont think he will be available.

Also, as of tomorrow, the season ticket holder cards will activate again it seems ( like why didnt they for the Hoffenheim game ) so it should be almost/sold out.
