Really like to see Roca get more starts and this seems like a good fixture for it

Dont think sane will start cause he played the entire game against atletico but would love to see a starting pair of coman and sane.

I would be surprised if Sane starts since it looks like Flick wants to be as patient/cautious as possible regarding Sane. It will take him a while for him to get back his sharpness and during a condensed season like this one there is no point taking too many risks when Coman and Gnabry are good options.

The Sane situation reminds me a bit of the Lucas situation last year. He was also coming off a major injury, and took his first year with Bayern to get back to fitness, learn the tactics, and slowly become integrated. I assume they envision a similar path for Sane.

I also think that sane plays way better when he gets more space to do things. Cause at the moment we dont create any space in the final third and it looks like he always has 3 defenders step in on him the moment he get the ball out wide and the only option than is a backpass.

Precisely. And one of the most common thing I have used to hear 8-9 years ago is that players after very serious injuries that permanently ruin some thing have a psychological blockade. This way they need also to remove the fear of possible repeat of the same injury, can't fully relax like they were relaxed on the pitch before.

I dont know whether Sané has this thoughts in mind, but surely what you say about his fitness is something to expect at Bayern since he lost the entire 2019/2020 season in both training and matches.
I expect there same situation like in case of Hernández. :) This what we have seen so far from the bench is awesome and the fact the team will be exhausted during the whole season... his only mission is to avoid all v injuries.

Interesting observation. Gives me hope.

I don't know if Flick wants to bet on Roca in this type of game. Goretzka is the obvious choice for one of the midfield positions, but it's pity that both Kimmich and Tolisso are injured right now.
