Götze can only blame himself. He is getting his chances but he keeps doing the same. It useless blaming it on the lack of playing time because of the injury. I mean, look at Martinez and Ribery.

And another thing which has been bothering me for some games now is when our players are running towards the goalkreper they seem to avod trying to chip the ball over the keeper but keep closing in on him and try to shoot through him as happened to Müller and also Lewa has a habit of doing this. Look at Auba's 1st goal today agaonst Bremen.

But why when he plays with the NT he looks happy and in the mood?

I think that he's got more potential than Podolski ever had... Goetze was a luxury signing, a not needed one... all that could've affected his stay here... he was given a chance more than once but he wouldn't ever have a regular spot in the starting 11 no matter what. Compare him to Shaqiri... who had to compete with the best in the world for a spot, it's not easy... I think that Bayern tried as much as they could to make him a success... don't know all the background in the dressing room and etc... but he's been fielded enough, more than I expected. Bayern did a mistake... in more than one level when they signed him. It brought bad publicity and other consequences...

Deep down I still wish that he gives it a try under Ancellotti although I understand that contractually it isn't looking good.

That would be the best thing since we're already deep in it... but don't know if Carlo is willing to accept the challenge. If we wanted Goetze gone, that's a thing that should've been done last summer... not in his final year. Bayern played cards poorly in Goetze's case... Maybe he scores a goal in the Euro final, who knows... that would change a lot of things.
We should at least hold that stance in public for a better negotiating position, if anyone eyed him for next season.

But somehow he still manages to score with Germany. Although to be fair he had that powerful shot today which their GK punched and from which came the Ribery wonder goal

A typical after-the-internationals game. Good thing we came out with a relatively easy three points and without injuries. Ribery is currently in great form. He could've had a couple assists in this game with his amazing low crosses if our attackers were a bit more alert. I think Bernat had a great game as well. He seemed confident with the ball, and didn't randomly rush into tackles as was typical of him in recent weeks. As for Gotze, I think he won't be wearing a Bayern jersey next season. After the claims that he's had a "great" form with the NT during the international break, Pep gave him a chance yesterday to prove it with us and he was just painfully average (which is the bare minimum of what is expected of him).

Ribery lacks that pace from his greater days, but it's still a joy to watch him play. All his passes, through balls, decissions.... everything. He's so smart, really =D>

I think what you just said is the reason why someone (Uli? LVG? Can't remember) wanted to move him to the centre. In his age it might actually be worth a try especially with our new great wingers, but such experiments should probably be held off until Ancelotti comes back and can experiment in pre-season.

Actually both Van Gaal and Pep thought about moving him centrally.

Pep even tried it for a while in his first year with limited success. But, I remember Ribery himself declaring that he doesn't want to play in the center.
