No, this is an excuse. Rotation is NOT the problem.

Rotating when you don’t know your best eleven and when it’s still early in the season IS THE PROBLEM.

Bayern were on a good run, things were going smooth but then Brainiac Kovac decides to fix something that was not broken and lo and behold here we are! Enraged and disappointed!

Maybe it is one of the problems but it is not THE problem. The main problem is of course lack of squad planning, but the reasons behind these results are lineups (lack of rotating actually; because of an insistence to always start certain players) and tactics (or lack of).

If we stopped rotating and put out the same lineup for the next 5 games we would still drop points if these things don't change.

I have long been a defender of Müller, but even I have to ask: imagine he wasn’t a homegrown Bayern boy. Say his name was Dani Hernandez and we’d bought him for €30m from Valencia a few years ago. And now let’s say “Dani Hernandez” has the exact performances, stats, etc over the past few years as Müller has had. Would he still be playing/starting here? I love Müller but I have to wonder if reputation and Bavarian-ness aren’t a big factor in how much he plays. Starting to wonder if he’d be so safe if he wasn’t German.

Arjen Robben: "We are making mistakes that are punished immediately. Gladbach had two chances in the first half and scored twice. We had a good start but created too little chances. Now we have to be united and go out of this situation together"

Is Robben referring to United's comeback ?!?

Kovač: ""We started the game well in the first 10 minutes but then started making too many individual errors. Gladbach scored three goals from three chances. I assume responsibility. We have to work and improve because we are scoring very few goals. We have to act differently"

Manuel Neuer: "We started well, but then we faded. The second goal was a slap in the face. Of course, it was not easy but this is Bayern and it's not good enough"

Lothar Matthäus on Sky: "I cannot remember seeing Bayern play this bad. This has nothing to do with modern football. No enthusiasm, no body language, they don't even bother going into duels. I expect a solution from a team like Bayern, but they don't have one"

Rotation in itself is a must, especially for a squad this injury prone. But you need to do it with sense. Not like we’ve done, where a player performs great and for that he is awarded a place on the bench. Makes no sense for the team and especially no sense for the player. I mean, if you can’t get a starting spot no matter how well you play, so why even try?

Rotation should happen only when you know what is your best team and that beat team have developed a rhythm playing with each other. Most successful teams (Real Madrid for example) start rotations during the second half of the season to rest big players before big games.

Also when we already knew that we are injury prone then why the hell were Vidal, Rudy and Bernat sold?

Yup. I get it that players need rest too, but not after every 90 or 75 minutes they’ve played. These are professional athletes at the highest level FFS. At that point you only hurt the players rythm and it affects psychologically.

Tbh. Knowing that bmg are our bestia negra, I sensed that this was coming.
Had we entered the game still unbeaten we would still have dropped the points against them...

Oh please... I haven’t seen a team this shit in years... And I'm not just talking Bayern... This was German NT in Russia level!

Half if these players are done for... That includes Neuer sadly...

The only thing to make you sense anything is we‘ve been playing utter shit - and it started at least in the Schalke game...

El Cholo Simeone is.

Let's say they fire him... who will be appointed?
Hassenhutl?
Weinzierl (or the hell is surname is)?
We sabbotage the Augsburg coach?
Jonker who saved us after LvG?
Conte?
Montella?
Zidane?
Ghedin?

We can get them all and rotate them as well.
