It was expected to see it happening. I'm fine with that. Human lives and health at first place.

DFL is expecting a total loss off about 750 million € should the league be cancelled.

They shouldn't cancel it but postpone it. Then for next season they will just do without the winter break. Very doable imo

Very callous and irresponsible of Kalle to talk about finances when lives are at risk.

You know that football clubs also have employees, right?
If some clubs are unable to pay these employees, for some of those people their existence will be at risk.
Dont get me wrong, health comes first, but for Kalle - as CEO of a huge corporation basically, with 1000s of employees - it's only natural that he will talk about things like this... So obviously it is important for a solution that also keeps the factor money in mind. It's only easy to look at club representatives as those money hungry bastards though.

Yes, maybe you can criticise him for voicing this publicly though. Not a great PR move by him for sure. But I think Watzke has done even worse.

Have to take into account the full context too. It sounds bad in sound-bite form, but he's mostly talking about smaller clubs here IMO. Big clubs like Bayern can handle the loss of revenue. But what about the clubs at the other end of the table, the smaller 1.BL clubs or 2.BL ones...can they survive that loss? I'm not sure many of them can. It's still not a great look but it's way more nuanced than just old Kalle worried about the bottom line.

Also true and besides smaller clubs being generally more at risk to stop "existing", Bayern might also be able to keep on paying their employees.
