I agree they look in a great form but let's see what happens next week in Leverkusen. They also have a tough Pokal game in Bremen![]()
I'm pretty sure their defensive issues haven't got much better
The Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL)—the operating business behind Germany’s Bundesliga—has received the ‘Best Sports Project Award 2020’ at DreamlandXR Music, Technology and E-Sports Festival at CES in Las Vegas.
Beating the NBA and WWE to the prize, the DFL received the accolade for work undertaken with Vodafone. Creating a ‘lean forward’ experience for spectators by exploiting possibilities available over the new super-fast 5G mobile network.
Back in September 2019, it was announced as a ‘world premiere in professional football’. A live demonstration was available during the home match of VfL Wolfsburg, as they hosted TSG 1899 Hoffenheim at the Volkswagen Arena.
Selected guests were able to test a real-time smartphone application that Vodafone and the DFL developed for use over the 5G network. Created together with immersiv.io, a French company specializing in augmented reality for sports. Those taking part in the trial received a variety of match statistics, including players’ individual match values, directly onto the screens of their smartphones.
It is a technology that allows spectators to see live events such as player speed and xG analysis, all in real-time to a 5G-compatible device.
