It's obviously far too early, we're still second, but these are the things you can't afford to do when Bayern is chasing you.

I'm now 95% convinced we'll win the league. After the Leverkusen game I had said we threw away our last chance, so it's a massive change.

@FCBayernMunchen - Winning the BL is still a long shot. First we have to win against Berlin and BM away. Two really tough games after Liverpool cripples us tomorrow at Anfield.

I’m not sure of what to expect under this inept coach anymore

I have no faith in the coach either but you are assuming that Dortmund will stop dropping points asap. BMG have also been struggling lately (though they always trouble us), I think we should be able to beat Hertha.

Also don't think Liverpool will cripple us, we'll see

And by the way, if we had won against Dortmund and vs Fortuna we'll be now leading with a +6

FiveThirtyEight REALLY likes that result for us.

On Feb 3rd, we were 7 points back (49 vs 42) and their model projected us as 52% favorites to win the BL with Dortmund at 45%.
On Feb 13th, we were 5 points back (50 vs 45) and projected as 64% favorites to win vs Dortmund at 35%.
Now, at 3 points back (51 vs 48) we're now projected as 74% favorites vs Dortmund at 25%.

(Biggest odds for Dortmund was on Dec. 12 - Dortmund on 36pts and Bayern on 27 had BVB projected at 50% to win and Bayern at 45%.)

Pretty sure he also said something about Gladbach and Leipzig being above us.

Yep, I agree.
I have long held to the belief that the true mark of a champion is simply being able to consistently win the matches you're "supposed" to win.
Look at Leicester's title run - in reality, they were poor against the top teams in England. But they won the games they were "supposed to". Meanwhile, the top dogs in EPL were probably "better" in isolation, but had a knack for dropping points against much worse opposition, games they really "should" have won. It wasn't so much that LCFC were dominant but rather that they just consistently won the matches they should win.

Now to be fair Bayern have struggled with this plenty this season too, I think. But in recent weeks that's been a big problem for Dortmund: they've seemed to play-down to their opposition and they're dropping points in matches that they should really be taking all three. I think they have scored 1 in three games without Reus. That's a bad sign. Who knows when he will be back (and let's be real, he's as fragile as coman - one bump and he's gone again) and if that will be soon enough.

But of course - we have to take care of business vs Hertha and BMG, both of which could be tricky. Don't wanna put the cart before the horse, but right now things are looking as good as they have since like October (in regards to the league, anyways)

Did I say something like that? Don't put words into my mouth. Meanwhile you say things like "Wtf Manu!!!! He is finished...." all the time. You are negative and superstitious all the time but as soon as someone criticises your beloved kovac, you label them as not a true fan.

Trust me, nobody on this forum wants kovac to fail. I'm all for him winning the quadruple. But the way we are playing, we don't deserve a single trophy.

When I'm criticising kovac, I'm just worried about the long term future of the club. It's very clear that he's not Bayern's Zidane.
