It's so easy for Bayern to get into the race, we drop 2 here, then we drop 2 somewhere else and all of the sudden it's 5 points with an away game in Munich and other tough fixtures like Leipzig away, Frankfurt away, Gladbach away. Still plenty of stuff can happen.

Except you’re not!
It IS true... I understand the concern per se... Thing is, Bayern still play Leipzig before winter, while you only get victims... Even with a win in Munich we would basically need to win EVERY FRIGGIN GAME - that’s not difficult, it’s utopian!
All the while not even talking about NO ONE IN HISTORY overcoming such a deficit and completely neglecting the fact you are MUCH more stable and better both on offense and defense... I see you finishing this season unbeaten...

Yes, there is a good chance all you're saying will happen. But I still can't relax because we don't have the same history of dominating Bundesliga like Bayern. We are not used to the thought that leading by 9 points means we're probably just going to win the whole thing. I'll maybe get comfortable when we have the same or bigger lead with like 10 matchdays to go. But until then I'm looking at it game after game hoping for wins and so far the wins are coming but they are not easy wins at all. Bremen, Schalke, Mainz, Bayern, Wolfsburg - all these teams could have gotten a point against us. They either had chances late in the game to equalise or they were leading or they equalised and later we managed to score the winners. We''re far from just destroying every opponent, we're grinding it out. And it's nice but there is a lot of nervousness involved. So excuse me if I don't yet feel like it's all over. :P

Fact remains ;)

We used to grind a lot as well... If you win the close and tough matches as well, then you’ll be champ - always been that way...
- Rangnick or ten Hag in!
- Bring a DM, a winger (Sané) and Havertz!
- Get a REAL sports director (Rangnick?)!
- Keep Hoeness and Rummenigge far away from the team!

Bayern didn't make any mistake in that game. I'm more than sure that Boateng and Co. let them score 3 on purpose.

It would have been a routinary 3-0 3-1 victory in normal circumstances.

I've watched Düsseldorf quite a few times this season and I don't think they are THAT bad, but their defense and specially Rensing usually let them down.

Fair enough but this is season defining. If we win, we can potentially reopen the title race + we can officially say crisis over and we are improving. If we lose, back to square one and we're in risk of not qualifying for the CL.
