BVB played solid 30 minutes of the first half, then next 30 minutes were poor. And the last 30 minutes were solid again. It was a hard fought victory, Mainz could have easily drew this game. In general I'm satisfied with today's results. :P

Congratulations on winning the title Borusse!
- Rangnick or ten Hag in!
- Bring a DM, a winger (Sané) and Havertz!
- Get a REAL sports director (Rangnick?)!
- Keep Hoeness and Rummenigge far away from the team!

At this point our focus should switch to securing top four. Without some big changes I think winning the title is just a dream at this point.

But Hecking is their coach and holds them back from achieving something no?

10 goals in 281 minutes, a goal per every 28 minutes for Paco. Unbelievable.

Why isn't he playing more often?

Alcacer arrived with a niggling injury and this, and other slight setbacks, has caused him to spend much of his time on the bench so far this season. He is still not at 100%.

So he's basically THE player for Bayern...if he manages to score a goal every 20' while at the same time being injured/out of form, he would win the ballon d'or at Bayern

Well, yeah, probably. But it's hard to imagine that he can keep these scoring numbers all season long. The best thing that i like about him is that he don't need to shoot 3,4,5 times to score a goal. Often he is scoring with his first 4,5 touches.

It's just awkward how well he was playing in Valencia, then he almost don't play in Barca..
But these was the best years of MSN, i guess it's understandable.

As IsiahRashad said, Paco had some micro-injury that needed to be taken care of but also he's not fit to play game after game after 2 years of benchwarming in Barcelona. He will probably be at 100% after the winter break.

I actually just came back from Dortmund, was watching this game live from Sudtribune. Solid game by BVB, Freiburg didn't create any real threats and our attacking play looked better than in the last few games, I'm happy with what I saw.

Leipzig outplayed Gladbach today and won the game quite comfortably. These are the kind of tough tactical matches that show the limitations Dieter Hecking has as a coach.

That's why Gladbach won't be big with him in charge as I mentioned in the Gladbach thread. They have a very decent team and they're going to win many games just because of the talent they have but they're going to struggle against teams with a good plan to counter them. Parking the bus or high organised pressing, both can work against Gladbach.

And that's also why I believe Leipzig is going to finish 3rd in the league behind BVB and Bayern (#12 incoming saying Bayern is not going to finish TOP2 :D ) and Gladbach should finish 4th.

Also Wolfsburg is playing solid and it's weird because their coach is Bruno Labbadia. :D I wonder how long that one will last.
