You make it sound like him "cracking the code" means I'm implying that his system of play is superior to other systems. It's not what I'm saying. It only means that the xG model doesn't work as well as a statistical tool for Favre's teams as for other teams. Football is about winning, not outperforming xG. So I don't really see him outperforming xG as an achievement. I see it as a possibility that xG model can still be improved to account for such things as pressure on the player taking a shot for example.

Anyway we can skip the discussion about models really because I've watched almost every game of Dortmund this season and the truth is we had some luck in the first games. We shouldn't have won against Augsburg but Paco was brilliant. We should have lost against Hoffenheim. We shouldn't have won against Club Brugge in CL, that's for sure. But Dortmund wasn't a ready-to-go team yet. We still aren't. But we are improving game by game. Favre is finding optimal positions for the players. Now Reus is playing as a playmaker doing very well there. We have a proper striker in Paco, we had to play Philipp earlier. We played Wolf as a winger, now we have a stronger winger in Sancho. Our tactical setup keeps improving. The chemistry between players is getting better. What I'm saying is, we will probably need less and less luck as the season progresses because we should be getting better and better.

So don't expect Dortmund to just stop outperforming xG. If there is no "Favre effect" and it evens out then what will most likely happen is that we will stop outperforming xG however our xG stats will just get higher in the coming games, we'll be creating more chances and keep scoring goals.
I don't really expect BVB to just stop scoring, models might say one thing but the reality is that at the moment Dortmund is just playing well (in attack at least) and until we hit some worse form then the goals will keep coming.

Can someone finally inject 2 billion euros in Borussia Mönchengladbach and bring them back to the period of 70's, please?

The best example how one team can constantly make good moves and decisions yet after 2-3 seasons end up completely burned up due to their limits and then again, as always since 2011/2012, restart and repeat the same until they reach their damn limits over and over again.
It's a circle that has no end for them. F**king Bundesliga...

That injection is called RB Leipzig, though it's far less than 2 billion. Seems like they're capped with FFP regulations already.

I understand your frustration. But please don't circumvent the swear filter.

The problem is 50+1 rule. Nobody is going to invest 2 Billion in a football team without majoity ownership. I hope that 50+1 dies a fast death, for the sake of german football. I know its tradition and everything, but not allowing large investment is just going to keep damaging BL clubs relative to the english, spanish and italian clubs.

Presser today, Herrlich stating he begged Völler and two others on his knees to hold a presser right after him but they wouldn’t...

You should stop living in the past - and not just in soccer ;)

I had a hard day... Pretty obvious what you meant but I figured points at the moment... My mistake...

Still... They’re nit the only ones ridiculing us... There’s literally no one who thinks that was good... Except for you, the bosses and Kimmich

Look, club pride aside... Do you really think this was executed well? Convincingly? Non-hypocritical?
