Agreed. I celebrated much more when Bayern won the CL

Me too but it's obvious for us. #12 is German.

I support Germany but don't care much for the NT. I tend to only watch the world cup and European Championships and I rarely watch qualifiers or friendlies. I also enjoy supporting any NT with a Bayern player.

I would always support Malta over Germany, but if it came to Bayern vs my local team, I'm sure I'd support Bayern. Bayern were my first club and I watched them for many years before I got into local football, and I think as far as clubs are concerned there's no patriotism.

But your come from a different reality... you hail from a locality without a football culture (the same village in which I am now living  ) and you support a team from a different locality.
On the other hand I am a Karkariz so identify myself with the locality and all that concerns it...

You might be right there. In fact I never understood why people who live in countries like Germany in a big city with a top flight team support other teams. The example I always think of is YlonenXabi from Madrid. :) It's not that I don't understand identifying with a foreign team (I obviously do so), but you're just going to be much more exposed to the local team from a young age.

had I been living / born in a country like Spain, Italy, France etc I would surely support my local team... be it Lecce or Levante or Nancy it does not matter... than maybe I would have a foreign team to look for especially in the uefa competitions.
Therefore for me YelonXabi, Lukas and sorry I've forgot the other English guys are one of a kinds... and I admire them mind you

Looking forward to having an MLS team in Atlanta! Hope we can have some exciting friendlies with BBVA or BPL squads!
