French Player has been Sentenced to Prison for 40 years after eating a sacred Cow , Anelka is not allowed to appeal as he is not an Indian and if France does not ask for extradition , he will most likely serve it there. this is the only english source i could find , all the others are french [source]

I have not read anything about such a thing. Not 'a sacred cow'; all cows are considered sacred in India. Though many high-end hotels do sell beef and people who are not Hindu by religion do eat beef, yes, even in India. There's been much politics regarding this to bring a very strict law against such acts and ban it completely. I think it may not happen now, may be some time down the line; nah may never happen.

Also, English translation of the website's description ate the bottom of the page. :P
FootballFrance.fr is a parody of information and news dedicated football site. Although the writing is based on FootballFrance.fr news to write his papers, anything that is present on this site is true, the people interviewed for articles do not exist, everything is wrong! Here, it is said, hi!

Also, Anelka scored tonight

Also, judgments do not come so quick in India. And obviously not 40 years.
There's a case on 2 Italian marines who killed 2 fishermen having mistaken them for pirates without giving any warning and is still going for more than 15 months, I think.

that italian case hasn't been solved yet??? Italian media used to mention it quite frequently... If I am not mistaken they were given permission to go back to Italy right?

Back to football... R.Carlos is taking a managerial role in india

Hope to see a ex-bayern player next year instead of these salgados and falcaos..When will these deluded guys realise Bayern is a bigger club than chelsea and liverpool and as big as united and barcelona.

BTW even RONALDINHO played in this one!

One day I hope to see India play in the FIFA World Cup. For such a big country it's a damn shame that Indian football is in such a sorry state. Also, the problem with the country is its obsession with one sport only - Cricket.

Cricket is a dying sport anyway. I heard that the teams in the Cricket WC have been reduced instead of increasing them. Then there is that snooze fest format called Test Cricket where players play for Five days in front of empty stadiums (except maybe in England)

Hopefully more and more Indian youngsters will find Football a more exciting and simpler sport and take it up instead.

"By yourself" is still a good percentage of the world population when talking about India though ;)
