I bet that most on this list are midfielders/attackers. 98%

Imagine a team made of just these midfielders/attackers, that wreckage. So this is why I say: in hell with those awards. Why don't they rename it to 'the best players that don't play defense' or whatever....

When someone says FIFA or UEFA.... When Platini is receiving gifts with the value of £16.000, 'no they aren't corrupt'.

Now that American lawyer who completed most of the research is claiming misrepresentation of his work.

FIFA definitely white-washed this report!!

Blatter has filed a criminal complaint to the Federal Prosecutor's Office in Bern due to suspected money laundering by individuals for WC 2018/2022. World Cup bids still valid despite dirtied process. [source]

Fifa has submitted a 'criminal complaint' to Switzerland's attorney general after a two-year investigation into possible World Cup corruption. According to a statement of FIFA's Hans-Joachim Eckert, who heads the FIFA Ethics Committee, it's about the suspicion of money laundering in connection with corruption. Therefore, the notice is given in Bern and not at the Fifa headquarters in Zurich - for such crimes, federal investigators are responsible.

The latest move has been criticised by Alexandra Wrage, who quit the world governing body's independent governance committee last year.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, Wrage said: "It raises more questions than answers.

"The public are being asked to accept that there is enough evidence for a criminal complaint to be lodged in Switzerland but there isn't enough to discredit the World Cup bid. That just doesn't seem to make any sense."

Last week, Eckert released a 42-page report that cleared Russia and Qatar of wrongdoing, confirming their status as hosts of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups respectively.

That report, which has also been handed over to the Swiss attorney general, drew criticism from Michael Garcia, the American lawyer who spent two years investigating allegations of corruption.

He claimed it contained "numerous materially incomplete and erroneous representations" and said he would be appealing to Fifa.

Fifa continues to reject calls for Garcia's full findings to be published.

"We have examined this matter very carefully from a legal point of view, said Fifa president Sepp Blatter. "The result was clear: If Fifa were to publish the report, we would be violating our own association law as well as state law."

Don't expect this to appear on the media but just to let you know the IAFBC#(*$#)(*@J#KFS is meeting next week to discuss what should be considered the very first step on a road that will ultimately lead to a vote on the introduction of video evidence into the Rules of the Game. Ok fine its the IFAB.

The second topic on the agenda: Analysis for the recommendation on the suppression of the so called triple punishment. (I've got to admit at first I thought that last part had to do with watching Altintop play live but it turns out it has to do with yellow cards, penalties and match suspension all into one decision. I take the latter any day of the week.)
