Just give it to Lahm. [-o<
There's no one more deserving than him.
And I say that taking in to account Messi, CR, Ribery, Mueller, Basti, Lewa and Ibra.

That would be true justice!

Has ever a non-attacking player won the thing?

I think Cannavaro did.

I also agree that Lahm is the most deserving but we all know he has no chance. :(

Well before 2010, Ballon d'Or was pretty fair until it was only France Football. Kahn should've won in 2001 but he came in 3rd. Well at least he was third next year too. Since FIFA's intrusion it's had the chance to become a global opinion and I thought it'd be a bit fairer. But it has turned gone into 'fanboy polling system'. People aren't fair. I mean coaches and captains. Everyone has the right to have his opinion. So my suggestion to all of you would be to don't take it as an award for individual brilliance or for brilliance in a team.
People say goals. Might I remind you that Gerd Mueller didn't win it in the calendar year he smashed 85 goals.
It's "fanboyism." Pretty soon a new fan favorite will rise.

Just treat it as I do. It's People's Choice Footballer of the Year.
And I probably won't feel bad if any of our players didn't it. Some know that that's what this award is.

The best player individually for 2013 is clearly CR7.Best player of the best team, who won titles is Ribery,he was individually at his best too.
You can't compare these two players because they play different.CR7 is a killer-forward,Ribery is a pure winger and assist man who can also score but works for the team not the other way around as for CR7(it's not a bad thing either).Individually CR7 is better than Ribery.
Now who should win this award? FIFA must explain and clear the rules, until 2010 the rules were pretty known and the winners were objective pretty much. When FIFA involved made this award laugable and they were making fun of the fans all around the world about the marketing.Their rules probably are working but the goals which means defenders are out for good and all the defensive-style players who are very important for the game too and not the trophies. They want to make money about RM vs Barca,Messi vs CR7 but football didn't start at 2008 and we are not some plastic fans or fanboys, this award doesn't mean nothing anymore...

Who I really think deserves to win it? Lahm! as the best defender for 2013,including skills, composure.leadership, assists, defending skills, trophies, you just can't ask for more but as I said the thing is all about glam and goals, unfortunately Lahm isn't an attacker.
Who I think that will win it? Cristiano Ronaldo by far,I can't say that he doesn't deserve it because FIFA rules are annoying and we really don't now what it needs for a footballer to in it but individually he was the best,if the criteria are only individual, then he deserves if not,it has to between Bayern players(Lahm,Ribery,Schweinsteiger)

P.S:What they did with changing the expire date is a disgrace to all the fans around the world.

Well that puts Ribery in a different light. Great statistics. Give this man an award!

Ronaldo is the best player since September not the whole 2013. If he was, Portugal wouldn't even be in the play-offs or the UCL would be against Real Madrid vs Bayern but it wasn't. Because he failed to what he does best, score goals.

No, but he's better than Reus.

Yes, I am writing this just because I know you get annoyed when we include Dortmund while discussing Bayern.
