I think he is wrong for the most part, just reacting after his team losing. If Uruguay would have won he wouldn't be saying a word.

Even when the organization of Copa America Centenario is far from ideal (and put aside the wrong national anthem fiasco, the incorrect spelling of Columbia by Adidas and a Pitbull song heard over the last notes of the Chilean National anthem) most of the logistics for the tournament are in place, from transportation, accommodations, media coverage, venue accessibility; most South American countries can't match these standards for the tournament and the revenues can't be match even when the US viewership for this tournament is less than expected. The part that in my opinion is missing is the organizers being unable to fill at least to decent proportions the oversized venues for some matches, it just looks bad. What does it take to fill the 60K+ Soldier field when the USA is playing? Better advertisement? Lower ticket prices? Even when 40K people showed up it looked empty.

Then comes a part about Mexico being protected due to financial interests. This is the absolute truth, anyone who watched the last edition of the Gold Cup will have no doubt (Panama and Costa Rica were robbed to place Mexico in the final) but I feel like this could be addressed out of the context of this game: because Mexico was 5 times better than Uruguay in this game.

No worries. They'll have to do better on the next round honestly.

The reason to make this Copa America is for sell the logo "Centenario" (100 years of the existence of this cup), but I think south americans took more seriously the last tournament (Chile 2015), because the winner get a place in the confederation cup, something that make more special that past tournament than this one, despite this one is unique because is the celebration of the 100 years, something that can be celebrate just one time in history, but players didnt valorate this logo too much.

The weird things is the referees took several minutes to decide. They were mostly speaking through the headsets and everyone thought they were consulting with video-assisted referees, but after 2-3 minutes they still called it wrong. xD

Cheer for Chile. Only country with a current Bayern player on the squad. Plus they might even win ;)

Good thing Brazil lost.

Hiring Dunga was a terrible decision and the players he called up as well. Too many good brazilians in the world, to field a subpar team like he did.

Hopefully, the next coach can reinstate the banished Brazilians back to the team, drop Neymar from captain status and play brazilian football.
