Hahaha the greatest choker of all time gave up trying to win something important for his country.

I really don't understand this (I've read that blog article, by the way) when we've got players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic around. Messi's brought Argentina to so many finals and Higuain keeps screwing up their chances.

If any of you fine folks think you've seen Vidal play, just try and watch yesterday's game. It reminded me of Gustavo vs Ronaldo and that wasn't even close.

I am blaming Vidal for Mesxit.

He's been complaining for everything from flight schedules to game schedules and time zone differences. I think it was a rushed decision on a spur of the moment thing. Either that or the Russians just got screwed.

What a generation's got Chile! =D> =D> =D> Even Sampaoli's departure didn't screw the level of football over the past 2 years they played.

Argentina can't win a shít. Messi after so many times can't take his country to the end and win it. This Copa was the best opportunity for him and his country and the same thing happened.

If I am not mistaken he went to Spain when he was 12.
I have the feeling that he never felt any affinity with Argentina, he should have played for Spain.

He's given up for Argentina, granted, but he tried the hardest last night and he cried his eyes out. No effing way he has no passion for them.

He definitely has the passion and motivation to win something for his country. It's just that he's a big-time drama queen when it comes to losing.

He would have played for Spain in case that it was as you said.

Messi has officially retired. Apparently Mascherano, Agüero Di Maria, Higuain, Lavezzi, Banega and Biglia will do the same.

Have to disagree with that.. If he is, what would Ronaldo be? Whether this was from being fed up or exhaustion I can't imagine he did this for attention.

The bastard doesn't give us much chances to make a judgement on his losing attitude

I don't think it was for the attention. On the contrary, it was to take the attention away from him and his so-called flops. I believe it's a statement that he can't deal with the pressure of carrying Argentina to glory.

Oh I definitely agree - that's exactly what I think it is since he's tried so many times but couldn't figure it out, just not that it's worthy of being called a drama queen. I think Messi is a true exemplary football player.
