Okay i would be lying if i said i wasnt a little butt hurt but its gonna take a lot more than schooling Mexican and Japanese defenses to convince me he is the real deal. The next game vs Italy should give me a better understanding.....

if you look at his transfer thread, you'll see me advocating against us buying him (not that I would mind, but I didn't think it's an option we should pursue).

Soo sad for Japan, they played a great game and definitely deserved to win this one. Their beautiful distribution of the ball in the second half really made my heart melt. :D They will come back stronger for the WC!

Italy might have won this match but what Japan displayed in this match was much bigger than the result on paper.

Japan, a country with more citizens than Spain, Italy and Portugal put together is finally awakening as a football superpower. This enthralling performance is just an early trembling of a mighty earthquake which will establish Japan as one of the top superpowers in World football.

I'm already at the core of earth before someone points about population's relation with a football team with respect to my country.

David Luiz has suffered a broken nose and in all probability Dante will play against Italy. [source]

It's a lovely thought, but there's far less room for football pitches than in China, which is well known for its lack of space for football development.

But as long as they develop in the Bundesliga...
