'Injured players' to be forced to stay out of the game for 3 minutes or more, so that way they should start thinking twice before wasting time by lying down faking an injury.

You get to play with an extra player while Xabi Alonso is on the field.

It was my idea... and it would have been useful yesterday when Schmelzer was lying down.

It's not a bad idea but as the rest of things in football you have to judge intention. Otherwise teams would be hiring Nigel de Jongs all around to beat the sh!t out of Xavis and Messis three minutes at a time.

That's why cards exist... if you're really injured you won't get back into the game at all.

You're 1-0 on a game you have to draw at least a point. There are 5 minutes to go and Messi gets the ball. Swiss-knife Ramos does an American Football tackle on Messi but he has behaved all game (humour me for a minute.) Messi has to leave the game for three minutes meaning they play the remainder of the game with 10 men against a Madrid parked back while Ramos stays cleanly on without even a warning.

Piqué, on one of his famous Hail Maries, runs on that corner trying to head the ball in and falls bad on his head. New rules dictate he has to leave the pitch on account of that concussion. Barza is left with 9 men on a game they must win without their front and back man; Ronaldo grabs the ball on a counter and scores while Messi holds Pique's hand watching the game from the 'penalty' box. The whole world cries in agony as to why are teams forced to play with 9 men for something they didn't do.

Nah, I don't think this would work.

Players would miraculously heal in no time...

Image

What does prevent Swiss-knife Ramos from injuring players or Pique from falling on his head even now?

Players heal faster when they need to win and slower when they're winning... how to change that?

Sounds more like a failed overhead kick to me... how the heck do you try to head the ball and fall on your head?
