Ask that Robert Lewandowski.

Yeah but that's a flaw in the system. Neuer could have won with the same system if people voted sensibly.

Falsifying history isn't nice.

No one really remembers Ballons d'Or, only titles come to mind when you recall a player's legacy.

They will remember someone else who didn't win anything else but that... undeservedly.
A bad example to football, 'who gives a fook if I don't win anything but I score a penalty'.
A chain of consequences...

What are you going to say to your grand children in 30 years ? I saw Germany and Neuer lift the world cup or I saw Cristiano Ronaldo win the ballon d'or ?

They won't ask me, they'll google it before: best player of 2014... the answer will be RONALDO(the best player of all time).

Why such a thing didn't happen in 2006? They could've given it to Ronaldinho or Henry...
Cannavaro and Buffon were ahead of everyone, just for winning the WC in the shittiest way possible.
Grosso was more crucial for Italy that year than Cannavaro and Buffon combined.

There's only one way to save football, Blatter in jail.

The Chancellor keeping an eye on that thief during the WC was the best thing.

Of course i'm not happy that we're not able to win the ballon d'or. But in this voting system, people are going to be bias of their preference. (But i have no idea what happened to Lewi  )

The world cup is and will always be bigger than the ballon d'or. Most people didn't even know or care that ballon d'or exists.

I think my grandchildren's question would be if ronaldo is the best player ever, why he never won a world cup before?

The only thing that can make me happy is bayern to crush real in CL.

Re: Lewa... he's already shown that he's always searching for bigger and better - wouldn't be surprising if he's prepping for a future move to RM. Not terribly surprising, to be honest.

The most important thing is that Manu himself. How the man feels. I hope he's not too emotionally effected by this award. But I think there are three factors that he wasn't putting too much hope:

1. Manu is a smart guy. He knows that defenders and keepers won't stand a chance to win
2. he's not that into individual awards, unlike ribery, poor guy still sad from last year's incident.
3. He has ribery's case as reference

So he's just there for a movie. Since Manu himself didn't care much for the award i think we as fans can let go too, right? :)
