Argentinian 21-year old Defender Emanuel Ortega who plays for San Martin de Burcazo in the Argentinian 5th division was announced Dead today after he crashed into a concrete Wall during a football match 2 weeks ago. He suffered from a Double Skull Fracture. [source]

Question is : Why for God's Sake is there a concrete wall around 1 meter away from the pitch ?

Beats me, same flaw as those WC stadiums in Africa with three meter deep pits around the pitch. Hell, one Uruguayan almost celebrated down there after scoring.
