Postby MUTU » Thu Sep 30, 2010 11:17 am

Louis van Gaal has admitted that Shaqiri is on the Bayern radar. The 18 year old had a good match against Bayern 2 days ago

Well.. its good to have young wingers like him in squad instead of putting players of some other position as wingers!!!!! If Altintop leaves this summer, he will be perfect replacement as RW.
HIm and Olic as backup LW and RW
Ribery and Robben as main LW and RW
Get him, Dzeko, a GK and a CB> We are done.. :D

I Know him , and i was probably the first one to mention him here and I HAVE ALSO SUGGESTED him

THAT KID CAN Seriously PLAY PERIOD

ask DVB and MVB about him

LVG said "When I say that He Really impressed me , then it means Louis Van Gaal wants him"

Shaqiri can play LM , RM , LB AND RB , but he prefers the Left side

Shaqiri is SUPER FAST ,GREAT CROSSES , good dribbler with a thunderbolt left foot and is super smart

He also goes to the right Side when he sees that that side is Emptier

==========
Hamburg was this close to sign him , But it was The Coach of Basel Thorsten Fink who stopped the Deal

I say that this guy is WAAAAY Better than Kakuta , could be a great All rounder Super sub if Hamit goes (especially that Shaqiri can play LB and RM , LM and RM)

or

Shaqiri as Starting LB?!

both of Our FBs are offensively DEAD this season

Shaqiri with his skills that are listed above
"Shaqiri is SUPER FAST ,GREAT CROSSES , good dribbler with a thunderbolt left foot and is super smart "

He Would offensively Be PERFECT , IN FACT PERFECTER THAN PERFECT (especially his crosses and speed)

but his Defensive skills (Even though he tries to help defense) might not be good for this position

Besides , HE IS CL-TIED

But i would surely get him , at least we wont have to cry when Robbery is missing

I think both would be good actually. Shaqiri can be the starting LB (although I don't think I have ever seen him play there), and are no.1 backup for several positions (Ribery, Robben, Contento (unless he starts instead of him), Lahm). Kakuta can be our backup for Robbery, Kroos and Muller, and unless we get a new striker, he can be a starter here. Of course, I want Dzeko, but Kakuta is a good choice for that position, I think. Especially with LVG here.

Maybe this is the LB signing we are planning to make this winter.. :D

Nah, if Shaqiri comes it will be next summer. We won't get someone Cl-tied.

Besides, he shouldn't make such a big move halfway through a season. There's a big difference (or at least, there should be) between Basel and Bayern.

I wouldn't mind having him as RB and switch Lahm to LB - I am tired of these average performances of Lahm and I have a feeling that he would be world class again as LB...

BTW I saw this rumor here too:

I think Bayern will sign him this winter. Yea hes CL tied but atleast it will allow players to take a break if needed and provide a great replacement when one of the robberys is out of action due to injury. It also allows him to settle into the squad without jumping right into high profile/ high pressure games. so im 100% for it considering the age and price!
My Formation for this season
.....................Neuer
Boateng..Gastavo.....Badstuber.....Lahm
.............Schweini........Kroos
Robben............Muller..............Ribery
....................Gomez

F Leverkusen!

It will be such a big move for him though. I think it's better if he comes in summer because he'll have the whole pre-season to settle in.

If we're still under-performing by January, the fans will be expecting any new signing to make an immediate impact, it's only natural. At his age, I don't think he's ready for that.

Mis-quoted and misinterpreted / modified by the media, call it what you like.
What actually happened is that they asked Hoeness before the match if there's a Swiss player who's interesting, and he said that after the 2 games against Basel he'd be able to mention one. So he was speaking generically and not referring to Shaqiri (or anyone else in particular for that matter).
