He hasn't played much recently, has he? No idea about his current potential...
Costa wasn't the player he seems to be at Shaktar as well...

Willian is fantastic. If you watch the EPL in and out you can notice that he is the most consistent performer for Chelsea (Costa and Hazard have their periods but Willians there performing day in and out even when Chelsea is having off nights). He has speed, work ethic, vision, dribbling. Also he is impossible to sign. Mourinho will never let him go.

He seems inclined to continue to spend an awful lot of money for players in that spot.

Lol okay. Please look at Chelsea during the biggest games and tell me who does the best between those two players.

Judging Hazard simply by this season is a bit unfair though ;)

Hazard is a better player talent-wise - he just needs a good coach to become better - he's never had one...

I'm not really judging only from this season. He has never been good during the biggest games, and I'm talking about the CL games here, not against some wannabe good teams like United or City.. Willian has always been the better performer with Hazard doing nothing. I even remember Schurrle having to come on at some times instead of Eden to score a goal.

As you say Chelseas style of football might not fit him, but what is weird is that he's extremely bad for the NT team aswell where they play more offensive. KdB is the star there, never Hazard.

I've watch most of the chelsea games...

WIllian might have had the luckiest patch of goals I've ever seen. Most of his free kicks are pure luck.... Right now, he has been chelsea's best player by default.
