If Leipzig add good creative players behind Werner, I think they will be Bayern's biggest rivals in years to come

We're not getting him - he already plays at a way more ambitious club...

:coffee:

The only thing beneath the performance of Bayern today was your pathetic, opportunistic shitposting. I am glad we have you to lower the standards of human dignity and make this defeat less humiliating.

They are... They're not selling for less than what their players are worth and they're not cheapskating below their ambitions...
And it's not opportunistic, I've been going over this for ages...

I don't know if you've noticed, but big clubs generally don't generate much income through departures. Simply put, they keep their best assets and sell players who do not fit in for whatever reason, mainly because of low quality, and being unwanted drops the price considerably - in most cases.

La Liga tackled this issue with release clauses. Although it somewhat guarantees decent income from outgoing transfers, it also inflates the market, so it cuts both ways.

Regarding the cheap-skating, I don't believe our squad is lacking - I think our tactics and game overall is lacking.

The mandatory release clauses in La Liga have nothing to do with La Liga "tackling" football issues, they are a direct consequence of Spanish employment legislation, which is different for limited term contracts from German employment legislation. That aside, they don't keep a club from selling below the price that is set by the release clause. It just means a player can buy himself out of a contract at the price of the release clause.

Selling players below value - and this has happened with Kroos, as well as others - has nothing to do with being a big club. It has to do with not being particularly good at doing transfer business. It's been justified with "we are not a selling club, we don't need to make money from transfers" but in the current environment, when you're competing with clubs backed by oil states, you can't afford that kind of attitude. Bayern are not the economic elite in today's market. Bayern can't afford to throw away money selling players below value any more than taking high-risk gambles signing 35m + "super talents" that end up being a flop.

Bayern have to do sensible transfer business as the club is subject to financial constraints, unlike PSG or ManCity. Hate on them all you like, but in that regard, imo Bayern could learn a lot taking a careful look at RB and also Dortmund.

I think it's both... With this squad, effective wingplay is impossible... We should be more versatile...

Re transfers:
True... But it's not about generating revenue or anything but making a statement... 25m for Kroos? Heck I'd rather have kept him for that year...

Believe it or not but Auba doesn't even make the top 20 fastest BL players.
