Contract extensions, etc doesn't really mean much these days in football.

More of a security thing...

The least he could've done for this club is sign an extension after all they did for him... so I don't buy anything yet from this extension. If he didn't sign that extension he'd have been the biggest scumbag ever...

Because we trusted in him and he spent most of the time in the infirmary... and him not extending the contract but moving to another club after that instead would've been the scumbag move of the century.

Trust?

Most bayern fans thought Thiago wouldn't start on Munich. Pep trusted Thiago. What were Bayern going to do? Sell Him?

Pep would of veto the sale anyways, if not, the board and pep would of had a bigger issue internally before.

Bayern paid for him 25M and a monthly salary which wasn't all that low... not Pep. Him leaving for free would've been one scumbag move... now if he wanted to leave at least Bayern would end up getting some money, which wouldn't make it a scumbag move of that level, still scumbag move but not the scumbag move of the century.

Bayern sold players to make space for him... that's irreversible... he has to be grateful to Bayern.

City fans's logic (true story): he only signed a contract extension to jack up his price and benefit Bayern financially as much as he can before he leaves to City this summer ](*,)

On topic: Thiago is not going to leave. He have said that on a couple of occasions with a conclusive tone. Plus, he always gives the impression of being very happy at Bayern and has developed a sense of belonging to the club judging by his gestures/celebrations during games/training.

Forgot to post it some days ago, in an interview with a brazilian sports website he said "there's no possibility of him following Pep to City"

Thiago has become the most non-German Bavarian in the squad... Enough said. Maybe a close second behind Alaba.

Ribery retired from the national team because he felt more appreciated in München. I don't think the Bavarianness title can be torn from him any time soon.

You people are forgetting about the most Bavarian of all, Herr. Rafstein.

France Football : Despite his contract extension, Thiago would follow Pep Guardiola to City. The spaniard irritates Bayern executives and fans alike with his inconsistency and his tricks, spectacular but often unnecessary, but also with his physical frailty. Thiago also dreams of discovering the PL. He could cost around 30M.

He will be crushed to peaces by a Sunderland defender...
