My mistake, mistook him for the three others who did :D. But he did extend the contract recently. Still 3.5 years to go.

According to spanish media, Pep still has hope to bring Thiago to his next club, if he fails to get Gündogan.
What a surprise

One little rumor in a catalan newspaper is all what trolls need despite all Thiago's statements about his commitment to Bayern =D>

Well, committment Idk... But I doubt he wants to leave now... Why renew then? If he were to leave though, even with just one year left on the contract, I'd say not below 35 m...

If he suffers another injury until the end of the season, I would not be averse to the possibility of selling him for good money.

I wonder how many trophies or how would the roster look like today if the club started selling every player after injuries. I mean the reputation the club earned as a player's keeper would go down the drain if Bayern sold those Arjens or Holgers for their time spent at sick bay.

This ain't Real Madrid fcol.

Well, if we sell Thiago he'd be the first. I would agree that it would not be good to sell all injury prone players but one or two would not be the end of the world either. Personally I would have rather kept Kroos and sold Thiago. For some reason I can't explain I still don't personally see Thiago fitting in well in this squad. Maybe it's just me. I'd rather keep him but if they offer good money for him I would take it and invest in areas that need more improvement, like the RB position.

The more time goes on, the more I realize that Thiago and Kroos are nothing alike. When we had our winger troubles last season, Thiago was a breath of fresh air with his silky movement and ball control in the central positions, bringing play forward and making things happen. Kroos could never do that, despite his superb technique - Kroos simply doesn't have the physique necessary to dribble past players. And don't get me started on Thiago's criminally underrated defensive contribution...

Sometimes I wonder if some posts are just meant to generate traffic which is truly borderline trolling.

Yes they're not alike but Kroos would be able to deliver better crosses to our new speedy wingsters and open up the wide play, I would say.

I don't know which is more troubling: the fact that Kroos is not even amongst the best DM out there and clearly behind in comparison, or the fact that he's shown nothing but contempt towards the team since he left while Thiago has been nothing but praised and results at crucial matches.

It's not about who is better, because they're totally different.
Thiago is insanely creative and great in 1v1. Kroos is an amazing passer short & long but lacks creativity.
Think they'd complement both pretty well.
But, if I had to chose, I'd take Thiago.

I guess it would depend on the tactics. I think we need a central player spraying crosses to our wingers. Old school.
