Reports say that the loan to Werder Bremen would be until the end of the current season.

I watched him a little bit at the Olympics and I thought he has quite some flair.

I was a little disappointed to hear he will be loaned out instead of getting some game time here but I guess it's smarter for him to get regular game time. I'm a little worried though since the last couple Bayern loan moves haven't bared much fruit recently....

So what ? shall we forget the much better J.Brandt?
IMO he is not that bad ... but... may grow up to add the list of headless chickens... I am not convinced by him...

Brandt simply had more opportunity to showcase his skills. Gnabry is still an unknown talent of sorts. What we know for sure is that Gnabry is very fast and would continue our tradition of having speedy wingers. You can't say the same thing about Brandt who could be compared in a sense to Mario Goetze.

I saw him in all Ger U23 games in Rio. I was very impressed but I am still skeptical...
Let me say just this , if he is that good Arsenal wouldn't let him go like that...

You mean like they didn't let Lord Bendtner leave for Germany?

I think Gnabry will make it big. Hard to say whether him or Brandt will be better but I think he will become a very good player. If the Olympics are any indication, Gnabry is much more of a goal threat, which is what we need most right now considering we have a great non-scoring winger already in Costa. I'd definitely welcome this move and I think the loan is wise, though I hope we won't end up needing him before the loan expires due to injuries.

Gnabry's experience in England gives him an advantage over most young Germans IMO. He may not have played much in the EPL but it's still useful. On the other hand Brandt has much more top flight experience.

That's mean nothing with a player at the end (or almost) of his contract.

Few things about this rumour...not sure, but I don't think it's "Bayern style" to sign a player after a good tournament. Our scouting system *cough* Reschke *cough* is way too good for that. If we were interested in Gnabry, surely we would've tried something before he showcased his talent on a bigger stage?

If it is true that we're interested, Arsenal might be in a bit of a pickle. Rumour has it he doesn't want to extend. So they'll only have him for another year. And if THIS current rumour is true, we don't need him this year (the loan to Bremen), so we'd be peachy with waiting another year and get him on a free next season. Maybe even making some sort of deal right now. So Arsenal will have to choose between getting some money and security now, or gambling and possibly losing a few million and a player (or convincing him to stay obv).

Tbh, I'm leaning towards not believing this rumour. Sky Germany aren't too reliable with transfer rumours. I'll wait for Kicker or Bild to confirm any interest.

I'd be willing to take that risk. He was one of the best players of the olympic tournament, if not the best...

Deserves to be tried out. Now to be loaned or not, i'd welcome him as cover anyways till he grows up!

And the worst part is, he'd only be available to play for Bayern as from next season!
