Adler always concedes 5 or more in Munich - I'm against it!

I think that would be a good idea if there is no problem between him and Neuer.

Don't forget Adler before his big injury was the goalkeeper favorite (and it was maybe logical due to his performances) to take Enke spot.

He and Neuer were quit on the same line in 2008/09.

I'm for it. He is an upgrade over Ulreich.

Adler is great choice for back up GK. l'd be pleased if we sign him. l also like Meret, yet he needs playing time to develop further.

He is probably the best 2nd goalkeeper we can get and he already knows most of our players from either having played with them on the NT, or at Bayer or from having played against them twice a year for a decade :-D

Neuer's recent injury makes a strong case for a top 2nd GK. As small as his fracture is, had he continued playing with it he could have been out for months and in that case I'd rather have Rene Adler in goal against Dortmund and Real than Sven U.

Well he'd have more of a reputation now if Neuer didn't step in so well in 2010 when he had that injury!

Before that WC I did not understand why we were aiming for Neuer and not him... just that that WC made Neuer's ego grow like 500% catapulting and kickstarting him beyond belief... Beast...

I am one of the few who always backed Neuer over Adler. I saw some of his performances for Schalke against Porto and then again at the 2009 U21 Euros, and he seemed truly spectacular. I don't consider myself much of a scout but I think I was right on this one.

Always been pro-Neuer before 2010 but Adler was hell of a keeper too.
