Positive signs on Renato Sanches. The negotiations will be long, but they could be completed. There's work to do.

no dude they want him on loan for free.
Those ret already did some dealings where they've given the word and then returned the player without paying.
Either you get them to pay 10m for the loan or likely you'll see the player back

I feel like this is going to be Julian Green at Hamburg all over again. If I remember correctly they also bought 3 or 4 players
Spoiler: show
(not even 9 players like milan)
and he just got buried. I feel like its going to be the same situation there, you're not going to be under any pressure to play a 19 year old on loan over a 25 year old player you just bought...

That's what l said. we can't do business with Milan's promise. since we don't know how reliabre their new MGT is. it's too risky.

Obligation to buy is better than option, assuming it's for the numbers that have been thrown around (~€40m purchase fee plus €7m loan fee)....but still I don't think Milan would really have any motivation to play him ahead of their other signings, unless they feel that they can develop him much better than we can (which, who knows...)

I'm also interested in what would happen with all the additional clauses we made with Benfica. If we sold him would we have to pay Benfica some sort of "buyout"? Would the clauses go to Milan, would they just be voided?

Still, I think even if there is obligation to buy, we would be fools to not force a buyback option for ourselves into the deal.

So we are loaning him out to develop, only to sell him afterwards? Nice once again, Bayern board!

It's pretty a much sale with delayed payment. Whatever he does, how much he plays and how well becomes completely irrelevant to us, so no problem if they leave him on the bench.

It really depends on what the clauses are. Knowing how specific contracts tend to get they orob specify Bundesliga and Champions League, for example, so anything he does in the Serie A and Europa League doesn't count. Then there are individual honours like the Ballon D'Or but he won't be winning any of those at Milan.

I would assume our contract with Benfica stands as long as the loan stands. It's possible there's a deadline on these bonuses and by loaning Bayern get around the deadline and avoid having to pay Benfica out. We really have no idea.

It seems that we've lost hope for this guy. I wouldn't mind the "sale" if we can get our money back. We took a gamble and it didn't work out. I would have liked to wait a bit more for him to develop, but it seems that the expectations from our camp are not promising.
