If we sell him we need a replacement.
But since Verratti is likely impossible and the other option is probably blocked for Goretzka who will most likely not come this year unless he gets a high chance for a starting spot, this is problematic.

E: Oh well, I forgot about Martínez.

James

I know they play different positions, but we got enough b2b midfielders... Not helping us solve our problems on offense (and I don't really think we could get him...)
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

There have not been any consistent rumors about him leaving. The only things that have been 100% fact in regards to his rumors have been Bayern being adamant on not selling him.
Not worried about him really.

Manchester United have been encouraged to make a move for Renato Sanches after Bayern Munich lowered the midfielder’s asking price, according to reports in Germany.

The 19-year-old, who was signed by the German champions from Benfica for €35 million (£27.5m) last year, has failed to make an impact in his first season in Germany, starting just nine games in all competitions for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.Last month, Bild claimed that Bayern would be willing to sell Sanches if they fully recouped the €35m they initially paid to Benfica. But on Thursday, Kicker reported that the Portugal international’s asking price has now been slightly lowered with Bayern now open to accepting a bid of €30m (£26m).United missed out on signing Sanches last year but Jose Mourinho admitted that he would have urged Ed Woodward to sign the midfielder if he replaced Louis van Gaal earlier.
‘I arrived late, I signed in May, we started talking a week before, but completely out of the process. If I had arrived earlier, I’d fight for him,’ Mourinho told SportTV.

‘Manchester United watched Renato many times and maybe I did it even more. In so much time at home, I watched many Benfica and Portuguese league games, I got to know the boy better with time.’

You need to know the difference between really not wanting to sell him and telling the media you don't.
Just compare the statements about him with the statements about Lewandowski.

Can't see tweet? Click here!

Renato has a bright future at Bayern. Maybe a loan deal with no buyout option. Would be worth it if he plays a lot.

l love how you believe in every lie. as if they have space for Sanches. They are looking for a DM for their 4-2-3-1. also they have Pjanic, new signing, Khedira, Sturaro, Marchisio for 2 spots and you want Juve to loan him. while we have only Rudy as back up, who didn't prove himself at Bayern, he didn't look convincing so far. He will have Marchisio, Sturaro, Khedira while at Bayern has only Rudy.

Btw, Real letting go James and Morata, just because they are not good enough in highest level. even thought of signing them is not normal, let alone signing them for 70-80. #-o

Sub off the field once again. Not good enough for Portugal ...... U21
For good football : Neuer - Kimmich, Boateng, Hummels, Alaba - Vidal (Tolisso), Thiago (Tolisso) - Robben, Müller (James), James (Ribéry) - Lewandowski

For boring football : 4-3-3

We should loan him to Hoffenheim where he could play in Rudys position, but I guess they bought Nordtveit for it.

If we lose him (I mean losing his potential), then selling him and buying Goretzka now is a must.

We'd still have Vidal, Thiago, Rudy, Javi, Kimmich and Tolisso to fill the midfield. If he goes and Kimmich goes rb, might even open up a spot for good old Lewa + Müller combo. Just hoping Müller gets his shit together too.
