Actually its a complicated formula -- we took 2 + 4 + 6 and since Nueuer was #1 we added the 1 since the transfer announcement on the same day -- so 2 + 4 + 6 + 1 = 13

its simple mathematics really, but it allows Nerlinger to look smart. Also it allows us to erase the thoughts of Ballack -- hence the universe is in equilibrium.

If Vidal comes this summer, he will take one of these numbers, perhaps 8 or 14 since he was wearing them in Chilean national team few years ago.

Welcome Rafinha. Just one center back now and we can seriously challenge for the CL. :)

I also would have preferred it if Muller had taken the 13, but I guess he doesn't want it.
Super Bayern!

I like that the no. 13 is finally taken. It would seem that they held a certain traitor in high regards becacause they didn't give it to nyone before. Now that has been taken care of. Maybe not giving him his no.18 is a sign Klose will extend. Hope not.

Solving our main full back problem for only 5.5M is like a miracle... =D> =D>
Now we only need to buy a cheap talented RB backup (Corchia?) or promote a talented RB backup (Juellich).... and we can officially declare that we don't have a full-back problem anymore... after many years....

I would give the 13 to Muller but whatever, it's just a number. I like how in Bayern's site says "brazilian defender". I almost thought that Rafinha was going to play in midfield, considering how he did at Genoa. Can't wait to see a new CB and of course, to see our newcomers in the field :D

I am praying that he makes it and we solve this full back problem after few years of stupidity.

I guess he will give his all to succeed...this is his first time he will play at the biggest stage and will have competition. Let's hope that makes him work really hard and he delivers.

Don't know much about Rafinha. I hope he performs and becomes our rock solid fullback.

Welcome to the FC Bayern Munchen !!!!!

Seriously, I think this transfer is good. Rafinha has enough quality and motivation to do something right. I think we won't have to worry about his attitude especially during the first season, as he will be trying to prove himself. After 3-4 seasons we will see, depending on how the coach treats him as he seems dependant in alot of ways on the coach.

LOL.... Maybe in LVG's mind Braafheid >> Rafinha. Or it was just the Brazilian complex syndrome again...

Just take a look of Anti-Rafinha (Braafheid) career highlights:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edson_Braafheid

" Bayern Munich
...He was not able to secure himself a place in the starting squad...

Celtic
...He failed to make an impression afterwards, and played in several draws and defeats in crucial games for Celtic. He was finally dropped from the first team...

1899 Hoffenheim
...On 5 February 2011, Braafheid made his debut for the team in the 3–2 home win against FC Kaiserslautern, but was sent off only six minutes after coming on as a substitute..."

2010 World Cup

Near the end of second prolongation he received an accidental volley that hit the back of his head. Luckily, the ball fell right into the arms of the Dutch keeper "

I know

But i wanted to literally translate it

Because TZ also Quoted that Uli Hoeness encourages Diving and that he even when he criticized Paulo Sergio for doing that , he admitted that he won us many Penalties with that

and That Also Rafinha wins many Free kicks with that way ,but Bayern are not going to use this

So that I stay on the SAfe side , i decided to literally translate it
