if he's offered a starter role, I don't see why he would refuse it... But he's cup tied, so probably not.
Anyway, he's still an asset for us and we should extend him.

He's probably just one of the options they're considering cause...

Barcelona are reportedly considering a shock move for Stoke right-back Glen Johnson. Yes, you read that correctly. (Source: Daily Express)

So which non-cup tied RB back-up would you buy in Winter?

I would only want Rafinha to leave if it means Kimmich gets the RB role.

l can understand if he stays as 3rd choice RB with lower wage. Keeping him as vice Lahm and still playing Kimmich in midfield is something l don't want.Kimmich and Lahm should rotate for RB and Rafinha must be 3rd choice.

No you can't have him, he is Rafinstein now. Kimmich is getting plenty of minutes in midfield where he should so we still need a backup right back. If Kimmich stays in midfield I would honestly extend his contract.

Don't really get this for either party.

Rafinha is in the form of his life for us right now but still he's not exactly a spring chicken and as mentioned is already cup-tied for us. Don't really see the appeal of moving to Barca and potentially winning La Liga or CDR while being unable to play in UCL.
That aside I don't think this makes much sense for Barca either as like i said, he's already up there in age (31) so would really only be a short-term fix and recently Barca seems to be trying to move to make their team younger. With all due respect to Rafinha outside of the past couple of seasons I wouldn't have pegged him as a starting-quality RB for a team like Barca either.
Think it's in his best interest to stay at Bayern and I think it's in Barca's best interests to allow him to do so, haha

Barcelona have identified Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne as a January target & could pay £20m for the 25-year-old. (Source: Sun Sport)

They're being linked with every RB... they want someone in January.

I think Rafinha deserves a one-year extension. Currently, his contract runs out in summer.

I think our squad is too old.

Kimmich and Lahm should be our RB and we should buy 2 MF to replace Kimmich and Alonso.

I'd like that, too. However, we are in the period of transition and it's time to start replacing our old players with the new ones. Rafinha, Lahm, Ribery, Robben... In the next two summers their careers should be done at Bayern. They gave a lot to to the club in the last 5-6 years together(some even far more). We need new, fresh players who are going to bleed for this club and bring something new inside.

I thought he deserved an extension, but his comments about Kimmich as a RB make me think otherwise.
I can't see him or Alonso not extending though smh.
