They want a fee between 140-150. They ask for it because of inflated market prices, also they know Barca has 222 million euros. 15 days left is another important factor.

Not to mention, Dembele is one of the, if not THE biggest talent in Europe. Potential Ballon d'Snore winner....they'll regret it if they don't milk it to the full extend in this window. Barca has the money, crazy money deals have been made...if Mbappe's pricetag is around 180, Dembele's shouldn't be anywhere below 150.

And if they don't sell Dembele in this window, there'll be a queue in the next window. Barca, PSG, City, ManUtd...they'll all have the means and the willingness to pay up. :coffee:

Let's be real, Dembele is not going to United, City or PSG. It will be Barcelona when he leaves

The problem is that they would NEED to spend since FFP obligates clubs to spend the money they make rather than save it for a rainy day.

Wait, they are the only German team to float shares on the open market and you are asking what are they going to do with money coming in?

Did I miss something?

Well, not a big deal but their top brass is rewarded not on a sporting basys but a financial one. Watzke's performance bonus in 2012 of 1 or so million of Euros came out of a net 17 million profit. (Don't anyone quote me on these figures please.)

As a publicly traded company, their success is measured on ANY form of profit generating activity, from a CL presentation to a . . . successful player sale.

What are they going to do with all that money? Enjoy the bonuses for one thing.

Watzke,telling Kicker:
"Barcelona has not moved a millimetre closer to finishing the Dembele transfer."
"What he [Segura] talks about, I cannot explain. Only explanation is that Real Madrid made Barcelona dizzy during the Supercup matches."

Apparently Dembele is in France and hasn't been in touch with anyone from the club in over a week. Boy I hope he crashes and burns :coffee:

So in other words, it's a done deal?
We know how Watzke is.

I don't feel bad for missing on him... that if we ever had a chance of getting him. I've seen this coming... Bayern can't be used as a jumping board as some use BVB...
