Its probably that we will get rid of Olic in the summer, so all depends if we are going to sing that "bomber" or not.

Despite having 3 strikers now , our overall bench isnt deep enough to let him go in the winter.

Players in the mold of Petersen will produce - if they play. He cannot score from the bench. As pointed out previously, he scoring rate is solid. I'm sure he has much to learn, but the only way to get that is with more playing time, even if it comes in the Pokal.

Sorry no Pokal. It's knock-out & we are in the quarters. We play Stuggart & we played an almost full strength side even against 2nd Division Bochum. Minutes are very important for development.

I hope the new Bomb joins Gomez & Olic stays for 1 more year & Peterson gets a 1 year loan.

He can then replace Olic as the 2nd or 3rd alternative.

I certainly didn't mean to start him in the Pokal, but the opportunity could present itself to give him some decent minutes should Bayern have a 2-3 goal lead before the hour mark.

What he needs is 20 games a year in Bundesliga & for 90 minutes. It's not fair on him.20 minutes when Bayern are 2-0 up & are bored, not giving their 100 % saving enery & when the opponent is attacking & he has to defend.

He should be loaned.

I agree he should be loaned... But we can only do that if we have a reliable backup for Gomez as main striker...

Get anyone. Peterson never plays anyway. Heyneckes says he wants Olic to stay because Peterson has to be Main back-up when Olic or Gomez gets injured & he says Peterson is not ready for Bl with Bayern.

Keeping would do no good. It would kill his career. He is 22-23. In 2-3 years he would develop anymore. He is in a critical stage of his life. 1 year loan can change his career potentiall & can give him a breakout season. Heyneckes wont use him anyway.

He can't. Peterson is NOT on our roster. If you like to talk about our back up striker; all you have to do is look up the name of the thread. Shouldn't be hard. Cheers.

He must play more to develop himself like other young players. I also think it is a smart idea to send him on loan to Hannover or other 1. BL club. One club was linked with Petersen and it would be good for both sides, Petersen and Bayern to do exactly that. He is unexperienced player who has come to Bayern after one great season, but from less football level.

Not so young, but not mature for 1. league demands.

While we're at it, I would also like to point out the surname of our coach. It is not Heyneckes, not Heckneyes and not Heyckenes as I have seen all sorts of variations. It is H-E-Y-N-C-K-E-S
Mario Gomez season stats: 1048 minutes played, 16 goals scored. 1 goal every 65.5 minutes played. #Respect

As with Usami, he also needs to be given more minutes on the pitch. But contrary to Usami, it's not the best situation to substitute Petersen in when Bayern are leading comfortably by a 3 or 4 goal margin as Mr.S said. Because at that stage, Bayern are not trying to attack anymore which makes Petersen's job to score goals much more difficult. The thing is, JH surely won't start him instead of Gomez and I agree with him. The best solution for him, as already pointed out, is to loan him but as others also said, Bayern will only have 2 main strikers available then.

I personally think that he will become Schlaudraff v2 for Bayern.
In an insane world, a sane man must appear insane.
